its dreadful customer service again imo by the club.

I got the link coz i called them a week ago because i know there are two bays for us.

But the bays are still barely 20% sold because the club hasn't told anyone.

Ive received about 15 responses from people so far who didnt know how to get tickets.

Can you put the link here (ie in this thread) please.

I'll use it to buy myself a ticket

This is the normal link for the game which only has single seats left.

people are asking for the link to the Melbourne bays which are A10 and A11 and can’t be accessed with that link.

That's terrible if the seats in the 2 bays set aside for the Cats v Dees game for Melbourne supporters are only 20% sold! How did you find that out?

If it's true then the MFC really should advertise to supporters better.

Yes.

Can you please post that link in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve had a look every day since they went on sale Monday. Club hasn’t told anyone and I understand they don’t want people sharing it because it’s a members link only but still not good enough.

Funny how everyone else managed to take the time to dm me.

There is a reason the club doesn’t want that link posted on public forums, I disagree with that but also not gonna get myself in trouble from them. That’s all they told me on the phone.

Ok.

Seems a bit secret squirrel

Why doesn't the club doesn't want the link posted?

I mean, if you people have dm'ed you to get the code, I assume the code is not specific to your membership bar code?

I'm a member, so I assumed I would have to enter my own bar code. Thereby ensuring only members can purchase the special seats.

But whatevs

I’m not saying I agree with what they are doing, it seems they are alienating 99% of the fan base who didn’t enquire. They mightn’t even like it that I dm it to people.

I guess they'll have a reason. Perphaps they want to male sure no cats fans can steal dees seats

As this thread evidences, the ticketing sytem is all over the shop this year.

Enjoy the game.

I'd be happy to sit in with the cats fans to ask how they enjoyed round 23 ladt year, sitting at home.

Quick question picking up my two away members tickets for this Thursday, there are two options looking for anyone with experience with the BAY provided C13.

One ticket is described as restricted view ($50) - does this mean what it sounds like, you can't see the field?

the other is described as "Player Stand" ($60) - what does that mean, not even a seat?

Looks like the bay is a tiny isolated slither high up in the pocket - is this where we have been slotted?

We have bays A10 and A11 but those sold out this morning.

We have been given an extra two bays as well now.

All of C13 and back of C14 are now reserved for us.

Are they all gone? Can someone dm me the members link if there are any singles left. Pretty [censored] poor by the club to be honest

Yup there are two tickets left at the back of C14, will send you the link and code

The club has sent members their barcodes to upgrade GA memberships for the Coll and Carl games.

For those wanting to do that and for those that aren't members who want to buy tickets, I suspect tickets will sell out fairly quickly as all teams are in the finals.

They should be epic games with finals like atmosphere and crowds.  Friday and Saturday nights respectively so no work the next day (for most people).  Hopefully weather will be better in August.

So lets see if we can outnumber the opps fans, or at least be louder than them!!

Hopefully we can keep both teams out of the top 4!!!

I reckon that game doesn't even have a timeslot yet.

Are we thinking 80k+ on the day?

Possibly more. Given their winning streak, Collingwood fans’ confidence is super high and there’s lots of them. They’ll come in droves.

Also wanted to mention that this is our Reach round, in honour of Jimmy. 💕

This is a big payday for MFC. Only been two 80k plus crowds this year and both involved Collingwood

A win would top it off

I can see them for sale

I’m just going by what another DA member said at 3:30 this arvo: that the MFC had just announced all GA tickets are gone.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

Saturday’s election night game in Perth between the West Coast Eagles and Melbourne represents 18th vs 15th which makes it a tough decision as to which party to favour. The Eagles have yet to break the ice under their new coach in Andrew McQualter who is the second understudy in a row to confront Demon Coach Simon Goodwin who was also winless until a fortnight ago. On that basis, many punters might be considering to go with the donkey vote but I’ve been assigned with the task of helping readers to come to a considered opinion on this matter of vital importance across the nation. It was almost a year ago that I wrote a preview here of the Demons’ away game against the Eagles (under the name William from Waalitj because it was Indigenous Round).  I issued a warning that it was a danger game, based on my local knowledge that the home team were no longer easybeats and that they possessed a wunderkind generational player in Harley Reid who was capable of producing stellar performances playing among men a decade and more older than he.  At the time, the Eagles already had two wins off the back of a couple of the young man’s masterclasses and they had recently given the Bombers a scare straight after their Anzac Day blockbuster draw against the then reigning premiers.

  • NON-MFC: Round 08

Round 08 of the 2025 AFL Season kicks off on Thursday with a must-win game for the Bombers to stay in touch with the top eight, while the struggling Roos seek a morale-boosting upset. Friday sees the Saints desperate for a win as well if they are to stay in finals contention and their opponents the Dockers will be eager to crack in to the Top 8 with a win on the road. Saturday kicks off with a pivotal clash for both sides asthe Bulldogs look to solidify their top-eight spot, while Port seeks to shake their pretender tag. Then the Crows will be looking to steady their topsy turvy season against a resurgent Blues looking to make it 4 wins on the trot. On Election Night a Blockbuster will see the ladder-leading Pies take on the Cats, who are keen to bounce back after a narrow loss. On Sunday the Sydney Derby promises fireworks as the Giants aim to cement their top-eight status, while the Swans fight to keep their season alive. The Hawks, celebrating their centenary, will be looking to easily account for the Tigers who are desperate to halt their slide. The Round concludes on Sunday Night with a top end of the table QClash with significant ladder implications; both Queensland teams are in scintillating form. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.
