It was only him missing from our Round 10 team right?

Yeah him & Salo

Harmes 2-3. Unfortunate timing with some massive games coming up.
Hope Bedford gets a go.

Where did you see this, Jaded?  Listed as TBC in the injury report that Luci posted above.

Do we need a season ending injury to get a selection in the mid season draft? Or do we have a vacant list spot?

Looks like Harmes will miss. TBC is never good.

Way better than 426

Not sure - but Blake Howes is certainly looking long term

Surely every player in the hurly burley of AFL will have "soreness" - well, maybe not Dylan Shiel.

We don't have a list spot at this stage..

The candidates for the 'Inactive' list are Hibberd (or he could retire early) and Howes if his injury is likely to extend beyond 8-10 weeks.

With Howes, I doubt the club would want to put him on the 'Inactive' list.  They are more likely to want to get games into him and have the experience of playing VFL finals, if Casey make it.

Our pick in the MSD would be quite late so it would only be worth it if there was someone we really wanted.

My guess we won't be in the MSD.

While I do believe it would be worthwhile for the club to cast an eye out for a young ruck understudy to Max Gawn and Luke Jackson, I tend to agree with this.

There doesn’t appear to be as much ruck talent around in mid-season draft calculations and, if the MFC entered the MSD, it’s pick would be too far down the pecking order to get Sandringham Dragons’ ruckman Max Ramsden  who should be taken in the first two or three picks.

Other than that, we can fill our needs from our current ranks so I also am swayed to the view that we’ll sit this one out and bide our time till November to find some ruck talent.

If Max, Jackson and Daw get injured at once, we would be probably better off with TMac, Weideman and Brown as ruck fill ins. We have Van Rooyen and Tomlinson as KP depth. We could win a one off final without a proven AFL ruckman but three would be a tough ask.

I'm starting to think people given the name Max at birth have been given some sort of psycho-physiological boost that makes them grow above 2 meters tall. Max Gawn, Max King, Max Lynch, Max Ramsden, etc. (And didn't we also have a draftee called Max King who was a ruckman but never quite made the big time? Or have I remembered incorrectly?)

They're taking height to the max.
