Real Champions excell during September.
Christian is one of them.

9th in the Brownlow, i mean really. That award has become a fashion parade.
He could have 4-5 Norm’s before his career is up

There is just too much of a spread of midfield talent at the Dees right now for one of our boys to get the brownlow. They are all stealing votes from each other. You really want to be a standout midfielder in a team of role players. That doesn't invalidate the brownlow just means it isn't necessarily going to the best all round player. Our boys are just going to have to make do with premiership medals and a smattering of Norm Smith's and coach's awards.

Bruce McAvaney commented on Petracca's Grand Final performance, apparently on SEN this morning:

https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/10/14/mcavaney-lauds-petraccas-astonishing-grand-final-performance/

The look on Petracca’s face was very telling after kicking the great dribbler in the third quarter. He had the look of someone possessed by supernatural powers. Not over celebrating but something demonic and unstoppable about his expression. Overall I believe he was shaded slightly by Oliver over the season but delivered his best on GF day. Oliver was almost as good as well. But this was Petracca’s day.

He is our Kobe Bryant, he might not hit every shot every week but when he hits his shot the world rattles.

He is more like Dangerfield than Dusty, but simply stronger and a tad better.
But ultimately the big games set Trac and Dusty apart. They thrive on the big occasions whereas Danger tries too hard and his class drops (which he lacks sometimes anyway).

I still find it hard to believe I’ve finally got champions on my team. For years I’ve talked to mates about them having Pendlebury and Buckley or Hird or Robert Harvey or more recently Dusty. I’ve been envious. I had Stynes growing up but even that isn’t the same, he was a workhorse.

Having Trac and Oliver and Gawn in the headlines week after week. Mates talking me about being jealous of our midfield and how good x or z is….it’s a foreign feeling, it’s about time and it’s awesome.

Tracc saved his best game for The Grand Final, (the Preliminary Final was pretty hot too)

These are the Players that should be signed to Long Term Contracts. What an inspiration he will be for young kids coming in

Tracc and Clarry will be legends of the Melbourne Football Club

Brothers in Arms

Clearly Trac has now been elevated to an elite player.  He has the on field and off field qualities to take our footy club into the stratosphere in the next few years.

TRAC IS A

It still takes some getting used to seeing oppo fans drop his name alongside Dusty, Danger, Bont and Fyfe. He’s now in that bracket and he’s far from done.

& just like his season, the goals kept getting better & better...

What a star this man is

🔴🔵

WOW.  When fwd he is playing like an opportunistic small forward; doesn't compete for marks and stays down front and square:  22 of those 29 goals were from snaps within about 25 mt of goal.

The speed at which he gets the ball onto his boot and finds space/angles through a pack, for the ball to go through is phenomenal.  Incredible goal sense.

I can see the last few years of his contract when his midfield days are done we can just park him in the goal square and let him do his thing.
