I didn’t know that there were two versions of the Premiers Beanies and Scarves.

Left was purchased from the MFC & right was purchased from the AFL.

I remember seeing the two different beanies when I ordered from the club on the night of the game. I preferred the one on the right, which finally arrived today.

Slightly off topic! but I lost my keys on w/e and spent two days searching and stressing. Then a phone call from work... had I lost my keys. They were found in an office supplies car park and keys were traced back to my workplace. The demon lanyard and Angus Brayshaw key tag were described and manager knew keys were mine. Brilliant work again, Angus making something out of nothing.

Received emails from AFL store and Demon Store my grandson’s guernsey and Max’s Diary are finally on the way, just waiting for my Demonland Beanie now.💕❤️💙

I waited until this week and went into the store and bought up. They have my money - no-one else. Sorry to hear of everyone's problems. Could hardly move for all the cartons that had just arrived.

Lookee here what I bought today!

I bought two of them. One to use and one to keep unopened. They were the only two Demons calendars among a tonne/ton/tun of the other clubs.
I remembered someone here on DL posting that an AFL shop had no Demons apparel amongst the abundance of other clubs’ stuff. A little chagrined, he questioned the manager as to why. He was very pleased to hear that it wasn’t because of lack of interest but because they’d sold out!

With this is mind, I commented to a section manager about how there was only two Demons calendars and they must be flying off the shelves coz that’s what a Premiership will do. He says, ‘nah, it’s coz I ordered bugger-all Melbourne ones coz, pfft, who barracks for Melbourne?’
He noticed my disdain and said, ‘nothing against Melbourne. I don’t hate them or anything like that.’ I said, ‘You don’t hate Melbourne, huh? Well, stick around for a couple of years and you surely will.’

Love your work❤️

Well I have been scouring the shops for the MFC calendar and the ones that I can find in the shops are typically Collingwood, Carlton, Bulldogs, Hawks, Saints....found 1 MFC thanks very much, which means they sell...whilst a retailer may want to sell the maximum number, like the country bakery, the trick is to have none left at closing time.  MFC fills that criteria.

That’s utterly ridiculous and you should not entertain purchasing this confusing placard.

Should add this story

every year ? Organizations like afl  and Disney  issue a style guide . They specify characters , colours wording , logos packaging . One year without warning afl changed logo of a club . So the ability to run down stock was gone . We ended up with dead stock because  the retailers ie afl stores and team shop  wouldnt buy old logo and we wouldnt produce with new logo  . Cant remember the outcome but I suspect product ended up on aid container for overeseas.

Anyone had their New Balance shirts ship yet?

I ordered mine from The AFL Store the day after the Grand Final and it only arrived on Monday.

Still waiting for the Max Gawn Diary ordered through Booktopia which has been sitting with Australia Post since Dec 9. Was meant to come last week, expected delivery is now Dec 27.

Very disappointing. I know it's for yourself but you would hate to have been planning to give it as a Christmas gift

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
