Where the hell are our forwards? We desperately need a spark here!

Brown, Gawn, Kozzie, Spargo, Fritta, Trac, T-Mac, we need a mark inside 50!!!!

Just feels like one of those games where none of those 50/50s will land our way. I know we need to take our chances, but quite a few of our misses have not been by much, such as Fritter's. Then there's that another. Hope it's not a sign it's just not our day. We'll need to create chances that are not 50/50s but that'll take some serious running and effort. And risks!

1-7 is not gf winning form.

FMDF - fumbling everywhere.

We are Gawn

Harmes can [censored] offf

And there they are taking their chances. If we don't turn this around NOW, we're done. No way they're giving up a few goals in the last of quarter.

WHERE'S OUR PRESSURE?!

We're cooked.

Totally outplayed by Beveridge here. I just don't understand, he's basically found a way to undermine all the strengths to our game. Felt sick all week knowing he was probably the only coach outside Clarkson who would be able to do this.

No contest for the mark….

Not watching this [censored]. Outside crying. One can only take so much. This was supposed to be our year.
WCW out.

This is the softest game I’ve seen us play

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
