Was going to put this in London Demons group. Mods, maybe merge?

The Deeaspora is up and about. Those of us around the world surely feel for all the Melbourne based crew, not being able to go watch the GF at the G. But also, welcome to our world. Fortunately, we all live in an amazing time in which we can connect, cheer and, hopefully, fall into flabbergasted heaps of joyous rapture wherever we are, together.

If anybody is in the Netherlands and wants to go through this with fellow tragics, send me a PM. Similarly, wherever you are in the world, use this thread to connect with other Dees fans. [censored] i am so excited, nervous, but also quite sure that this is it, and we are all in this together. Go the Demons and love to my Dad who lives in the US and who peruses these boards. This is what all those rainy, ****ty days at the G watching us getting belted were for.

Thanks AmDamDemon.  I am in the British Virgin Islands.  Pretty sure there are no other Melbourne supporters here (but would love to be proven wrong!).  I will be watching the game in the early hours while on a Zoom with friends and family.  Then planning to spend the day drinking at the beach, win or lose.  If there are any Demons out there, come on down to Cane Garden Bay!

We’re having a family friendly viewing with big screen projector and BBQ in Nairobi 🇰🇪

BBQ at 11.30am with game set to start at 12.15 local time.

If there’s anyone out there who’d like to join, get in touch.

Great post. It is really hard being so far away from all of this, but knowing we are all in it together does make it marginally easier. I hope you find someone in your neck of the woods!

Am based in seattle, so if any seattle based dees pleas reach out...Would love to find someone to share in all of this with!

Based in Japan.

I know there are a few of us in Asia, so if you don’t have any plans on GF day, give us a hoy!

Love the idea of how far and wide we are spread. Gonna be some tough time zones and some confused neighbours in early hours around the place. The WA twighlight game is perfect for Europe, game starts just before midday, almost like normal. Go Dees

I’ll be watching from Hong Kong!

(Truth be told, I don’t want to watch it at all; would much rather be sedated to 3 hours and enjoy the replay)

I  think I share your feeling to be honest - every time I payed attention live to the game we played this year  we didn't do so well.

You guys in Japan and HK  should swim over here to Taiwan - there's no sharks - the locals swear. ;)

What's the best way to see the game live that the international community recommend?

Love reading this🥰 people getting together from all around to see the Dee's, fingers crossed 🤞bring home the flag.

Go the mighty Dee's

I'll be watching live at 5.15am in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I've watched every game live this year, at ridiculous hours, so not gonna change the routine now!

Can't wait.

We’re lucky to have the ABC Australia Channel here which cover some games, but I mainly use the ‘Watch AFL’ app which stream all games and events internationally.

Bonsoir from France.
I don’t think there are other Demon supporters near me, but that hasn’t stopped me from flying the scarf in the car, putting that little membership sticker on the number plate and wearing the MFC cap whenever I go out. Plus I’m wearing the jumper around the house.

Big screen awaits. Just need the cheese platter. 😀

Vive les Démons.

That's not true. They sneek up on you as you cannot see their fin's anymore.

My son lives in London. A Demons' supporter of course. He's booked a ticket to watch it at the Hope & Anchor in Brixton.

I'm in Paris (south), and I know there are a few others around. Not sure I can face Belushi's or Café Oz, will just watch at home, though I think there's a bar/café somewhere that's doing something as well.

Does wearing a demon hat at Pussers classify  one as a local demon ?

We’re only 500 km apart! Drop in any time.

In the Middle East, somewhere very sandy. And there goes a goat in demons gear. Kinda fits. Plenty of Aussies watching at pubs, even a few demons fans among them.

My rugby mad mother, who I have converted to massive AFL fan and MFC member, will be watching from NZ

Cheers from Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Hi Dees supporters. I've been a MFC/MCC supporter for over 50 years, and I'm currently stuck and cant get back. (Obvious reasons)

I'd give anything to be able to get back and see the game or at least with a buch of Dees fans.

At least I bought a few things over to feel a part of it as possible.

Go Dees

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
