Boy that's a bit negative even for this forum.

It’s a massive IF mate. And I’m  not expecting it to happen.

Just pointing out that GWS are carrying some brilliant form and could very well beat Sydney in week 1.

Meanwhile we’ll be playing a high quality side in week 1.

We’re so playing GWS in the semis if things go south in week 1 finals.

GWS with this win will likely finish 7th.

That means they likely play Sydney in the first final (Brisbane would have to lose to Collingwood or West Coast for Sydney to pass them), and then the winner gets the loser of 2 v 3.

So if we win both games and finish 1st, we'll avoid that semi.

All things being equal I’ve got us beating Adelaide and losing to Geelong - hence finishing 3rd and getting on GWS’s side of the draw in week 2, in the event we lose week 1.

Richmond are hopeless, but I reckon GWS could win it this year. For the simple reason being I think they could beat us.

Tell em they're dreaming.

We arn't going to fall for that [censored] again.

Plus, it will be like 2018 in reverse.  They are hitting a purple patch right now, but are having to throw everything they have at it just to make it and I'm tipping they will fall in a heap sooner or later.

listening to BT and Richo commentate when Richmond are playing is like listening to NSW commentators when Storm play

Have been told that Hardwick has pretty much lost the players after his off field activities. Be interesting to see how long he lasts now they aren’t winning all the time.

If that's the case he and Clarko would be a pretty good combo to get back together.

But from all reports Buckley had lost the players years ago and they persisted with him. Dimma has premierships and Richmond have a bad history of sacking coaches. I doubt he will be going anywhere.

They still haven't made the finals yet, either.

They need to win next week, otherwise they run the risk of Essendon passing them with two wins (could theoretically also be passed by St Kilda or Fremantle but they're far less likely to win both games).

First team to 100 wins. Isn't that what they say ???

I took it to mean 1st 100 pt win this year for GWS

The Richmond fawning in the commentary box is disgusting.

Noticeably though, Daisy doesn't get involved in it. It's all BT, Brayshaw and Leppa.

I like Leppa. His Richmond bias saddens me.

Could not believe the tigers were favourite with bookies for this game.

So I backed them to win ay 2.20.

And to win by more than 39 at 14

Fawning over Dusty now.

If Richmond struggle again next year, Dusty will get found out and just look like a hungry selfish has-been.

Please oh please.

May that magnificent bastard Mario from Doncaster make a comeback. 🙏🏻🙇‍♂️

These commentators must be getting paid per word. Take a breath ffs

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
