Likable bloke. Assuming you like stoners.

He is hilarious o Gus and Gawny. And his post match interview with Eddie and co after the eagles game was equally hilarious.

I was thinking that he could well be the long lost son of the Jeff 'the dude' Lebowski

Used to work the bar at the 'Boundary, when I was at Monash studying - it paid the rent, so to speak.

I must say there were a couple of games on the run home that year  (WC, Dogs and Saints) when we we had a lead in the last Qtr or had all the momentum only to be run over.

I’m not giving your tanking claim any credence (unless you were joking)  but we certainly flushed some potential wins down the toilet in late 2019.

Yeah, but we got the picks that got the soldiers that may prove pivotal in the fight for the flag...

They never really did resolve that plot line with Maude, did they?

Jacko had another good game today v Crows.  His last quarter ruck work , second efforts and clearances were a sign of the future.  Huge talent.

Dees must work to keep him happy.   He can take the game apart once his footy brain matures.

only worry is that Eagles will eventually come with a big contract and big $$s to get back home.

Huge talent with output beyond his years. But he doesn't realise he's as good/talented as he actually is. Will be interesting to see what happens when the penny drops.

I just hope we sign him up soon so we don't have to put up with 15 threads about when he's going back to WA.

Not having a go at you sons but you know how the system works on here.

Dogga by the Flemington straight, except if Geelong have someone nominated (bending the rules for players over 30)

A one year old dog is around 20 years of age for people.

Should they be calling him Puppa instead?

The growth in Dogga has been amazing this year. It goes without saying that many though he needed a spell a few weeks ago, but he continues to be magnificent for a 19 year old kid.

I remember in our first game against the Dockers this year, he clunked a big mark at the end of the game but botched the shot on goal.

At the time, judged on that performance, I thought that was an encouraging cameo and that maybe by the end of the year, he might be a decent support player up forward.

How wrong was I. With Maxy teaching him the craft of ruck work, and with an athleticism that could see him even spend time on a non-rucking position on the ball, the sky's the limit with this bloke.

Get the chequebook out. This is a once in a generation talent.

Would be good to sign him over the off season for 2 years.

After that who knows. Eagles will throw the proverbial sink to get him.

Glass and cement. Helps with their contested game.

I think he's a real barometer in this side which is staggering for a second year ruckman.

For instance, during our dip in form between round 15 and 19 which included 2 wins (one of which being a rather lukewarm 11 point win against the Bombers), 2 losses and a draw, Jackson only averaged 9 disposals and kicked just the 2 goals. Over the last three weeks/wins, he's averaged 18 disposals and kicked 6 goals.

His development has been astounding this year.

When he starts clunking the ones he gets his hands on, Oliver, Petracca and Gawn might find they're not in contention for the best Melbourne player of a generation.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
