I would tell the players to just soccer the ball. IF you gather and get tackled  the ump calls htb. its that ridiculous

Nice one Kozzie.

Bt really hoping we lose.

Unbiased commentary. My azz

3 quarters won. Finish them off. Go Dees

Anyone notice how long the umps wait to blow the whistle for our marks compared to theirs? It’s like they are willing something to happen so they don’t have to pay the mark

The umpires are awful across the ground and on both sides.
We are barely in first gear. If we take it up like 6% we will win by 10 goals.

Ah Sam, so close! He kicks that I reckon it’s close to game over and the boys really would’ve got around him!

People being forced to sit in the rain........seems pretty harsh

Watching this game, I must ask when did mullets become chic again? And it’s not like the blokes who wear one aren  even committing fully to it in the Stephen Kernahan/Gary Ayres vein.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
