I feel very sorry for some of these kids. They’re playing so well, clearly too good for this level, but good luck getting a game. Chandler, Bradford, Weideman, Sparrow, not to mention Harmes and Jetta are all AFL quality players. If they played for North they’d be playing senior footy every week.
I suppose that’s the downside of being a bloody good side.

Majak playing well. Good luck getting a game ahead of Gawn, Jackson, McDonald, Brown and Weideman tho son ?

Munro with a nice snap followed by another contested mark and goal to Weid.

4 goals in a row for Casey.

Weid with a good contested mark and finishes with a goal. He’s got two early and the margin is 24pts already.

If we don’t get Weideman into the senior side, he will go to Collingwood and be a star ?

I don’t feel sorry for them.  I’m thankful we are finally strong enough to force players to earn spots.  They all get paid.  Previous years of deck chairs being shuffled gladly behind us...

I don’t actually feel sorry for them. I’m sure they rather play seconds for a strong team than play for a side like Norf.

What’s really pleasing is Casey are playing very similarly to how Melbourne play. There’s a clear sign that both playing groups know how the entire club top to bottom wants to go about their business.

Sparrow with an incredible ball to Weid who just misses, nearly 3 in the first for Weid who is close to BOG

If you thought North's senior team have been ordinary this year then don't be surprised that their reserves aren't that good either.

Hit the post! ?‍♂️

Weid another contested Mark hand passes to sparrow who shanks it around the body. Could have had 10 this quarter.

qtr time 4.6 30 plays 0.2 2

Weid, Sparrow, Jetta the best so far.

Casey % 200

North % 36

this could be interesting. Weed will be kicking the door down for selection after tonight you’d imagine

Same outcome as Sunday's going to be an absolute spanking. Weed lining up for his 3rd in the 1st quarter.

Norf can't even get over the half way pinned in their own half.  Dees 30 v Norf 2.

Was that Paul Roos in the North box?

Wish Weid had taken the kick then, a bit more accuracy and finishing and this could be 40+ already ?.

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
