I have been a premium member for 13 years, my choice of tickets were Level 2A in the rain...Will try and talk my way into seats under cover on level 2 where I should be. And Yes I'm happy to just go to the footy again, but how do they decide who gets lev 2 and who gets level 2A??

The problem is Ticketek not the MFC but it's a problem the MFC and AFL must solve.

I might have a chance today, the weather might keep a few souls away, and I did send a note to the MFC, albeit a enquiry not a whinge.

The MFC can't solve it, all clubs are in the same position. The AFL have to fix it .

A guy just rang into 3aw and said that as an AFL member he tried to get tickets yesterday to go to Collingwood v GWS and none available.

Something's very wrong

I'm sure that there are others like me that got double the number of tickets they ordered.

yes, the afl should.....it's costing them money ultimately

Works well this system. More Geelong supporters than Dees in an MFC reserved seating area. That’s cross contamination right there.

hopefully they will leave early

I really enjoyed sitting on the outer getting wet while someone was sitting in my $700  a season seat undercover. Makes so much sense.

That's not the point. My point is I cant have my seat while someone else can. It really makes no sense

I’m old but can still manage to operate a computer. Then again, I managed to strip and reassemble a 7.62 mm L1A1 with my eyes closed once upon a time.

Some of us oldies have done [censored] you young blokes have only seen in video games. ?

So why have the process in place. It is seeming at its best WE eiter enforce the seat allocation or we dont. If we dont it is just a nonsense

No separation in the bars plenty of talk no action!

i understand and agree......was just saying what i did

75% occupancy designed for distancing and the AFL auto ticketing system closes a significant proportion of the upper level of the stands.

It will happen again next week against Hawks

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
