I thought that Adam filled a couple of holes for us this year, he can mark and usually passes off the ball reliably and looks OK in the backline.

Thanks Adam !!!!

2019  GWS  Tomlinson  pinch hit in the ruck in most of their games 58 hit outs 155 marks 425 disposals  and kicked 4 goals a pretty good season and no wonder Goody chased him to play a role on the wing.

He was pretty average in 2020 however if you go by the stats of 2019 and his highlights he stood out so there is improvement in his game to come. if he plays to his ability he will be valuable for us  for sure. watching with interest in 2021.

we recruited him to play on the wing at the g; only got a couple of opportunities and his game against the cats was pretty positive - if he'd taken his time and gone back and nailed that set show we might've made finals

his form once we headed up north was hideous but i thought once he came back into the side as a key defender i thought he played a really important role

it'll be interesting to see how the footy dept utilise him in 2021 and beyond; for mine, he looks a natural part of the backline as he's good one on one, has excellent endurance to run with the 'power running' forwards, and is a neat kick

he cost us nothing other than salary cap contribution so...his acquisition worked for me

I have always thought that he was a 'spaceman' and a runner with good disposals. I hope he hits consistent form to make the most of his flanking moves - these are quite extensive but out of the eyes of our backmen in 2019-2020 seasons; just the same, great qualities for a wingman - speed, space-seeker, feeder, marker, two-way animal.

Very good summary WW.

Agree Very happy if Adam is 3rd tall defender But even happier if he is listed on the interchange for versatility down back and in ruck.

If only an Emergency then we are in great shape.

Will be a good Clubman and role player but prob won't play in our Drought breaking  premiership But if he does then he will have contributed and earned his spot,

3 more years and although salary seems 'overs' you have to pay that mostly when trading with other Clubs!

Adam the reliable!!.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
