West Coast have the most feral obnoxious crowd in the AFL.

We were spared humiliation by not playing the Weagles. Seriously the top teams in this comp are in another league compared to us. The Weagles have a deep list we simply have to many D grade players.

West Coast fought back. Come on come out and smash the pies in the final half.

Gee kind of glad we aren't playing them tonight.

When that halfwit Brayshaw said 'they know their football' I nearly threw up in my craft beer

What brew are you having?

After watching the game live tonight (dogsvsaints) and after a few beverages during and after the game we are so far off being a finals side it’s not funni.

Goodwin better pull his finger out of his backside if we are to be any good next season.

Two Birds. Average

Collingwood will win this. Hope I'm wrong but west coast just can't get free, they aren't manning up on pies players and I think they just thought they'd coast through this game.

Liam Ryan is a very entertaining player to watch.

I was saying the same. So exciting every time he’s near it.

Can only hope that Kozzie is as good or exceeds him in a couple of years

After watching WC v Coll game im convinced our Forward line is in need of a complete overhal.

We are so far off a pressurized Forward line it ain't funny.

Collingwood...everything we are NOT

Nic Nat sitting on the bench and grundy has had a hand in there last 2 goals. 10-2 inside 50s and west coast can't get a goal. Kennedy's last 4 shots have been behinds. Ugh bloody west coast, you had everyting going your way and you stuff it up. Now we will have to put up with collingwood for another week and I reckon they will beat geelong to.

I've switched off, cannot stomach the pies win.

Watching all four finals matches shows our forward line is completely unbalanced and poorly coached. Needs an overhaul.

So it's certainly worth noting that Port, Brisbane, St Kilda and now Collingwood (who look like they're home) are through.

Of those four teams, Port we failed to turn up, Brisbane we were a simple set shot from Harley away from winning, we beat St Kilda and we beat Collingwood.

We missed a shot after the siren to Geelong and stopped for a quarter against the Bulldogs and Richmond. The latter game we used the ball terribly in.

Despite not getting the job done this year, it has to be said with a few tweaks, a few new additions to the best 22, another pre season under Burgess, Goodwin's job on the line and increased consistency and we're not a world off 4th-6th position next year.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
