That is so cool?

Hope you get to keep it??

Well I paid for it...

Interestingly, the fella I bought it off actually contacted the club to see if they were interested in it and didn’t hear back from them.

I have a 1959 GF medallion that was given to all the players after they won the match. I thought it might be something that the club would like to display so I contacted them via email and also never heard anything. They always seem to reply when I email them about purchasing a membership/additional memberships. Anyway I digress, that’s a great piece of memorabilia you have.

I know mate.

I’m almost in disbelief that I'm possession of something that RDB, Tassie Johnson, Dixon, Ridley et al have signed and coached by Norm Smith.

I’d gladly donate it to the club.

Well...

Looks like it could be The Argus Newspaper football club badges from 1950-51.

They produced a lot not just for VFL sides but country sides as well.

Plenty of examples on e-bay, but not a Melbourne one being sold atm.

The Herald also had VFL football badges but at around 1960.

And then there are these of more recent and unknown provenance though the middle one I suspect was made for filth supporters. The badge shown by Demonland has unusual atypical colours and old style design to what we expect and could date from the 1920’s or even earlier IMO. Celluloid pin badges were first made in the 1890’s.

I spoke to an ex-player who lent his scrapbook from 1964 to the club and they lost it ?

Whilst this is terrible, haven't they also lost some or most of the premiership flags?
