Learn to kick goals boys. 13 points is not good.

What a take by Gussy to set that up.

Standing amongst Norf supporters. They are seriously nearly as bad as eagles supporters.

Great play!!

Beautiful to watch.

Great running goal starting with Gus on the wing through to Bedford for a goal from 40.

Seriously even at a scratch match???

I put the clamps on Gus and ever since he has just got gradually better. Great sign.

Bedford, Lockhart and Rivers all are AFL level.

Can somebody confirm if it's swirly conditions out there? 7.13 isn't a great scoreline and could hurt us in season proper.

Hardly a puff of wind.

Look I know I’ve been in off season wedding planning hibernation, but I’m struggling to recognize half the team from the 3 minutes of vision I’ve watched

Brayshaw has been good in the second half after a rusty start.

Bedford showing lots of dash and creating lots of opportunity. If he tidies up his goal kicking then there's something to work with there.

Lockhart and Rivers both look at home and will play AFL this year.

I don't see it with Baker. He has good pace, but rarely uses it and doesn't find much ball. Compared to Langdon and even Bedford, he doesn't look like a good long term option IMO.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
