Wow this poor kid copped a lot of crap after last weeks game which is absurd all things considered.

He has so much potential and was excellent tonight.

Can we hold judgement on a young guy who:

1. Has had to come back from an interrupted pre-season

2. Is trying to build form in a season where there is no second tier competition.

3. Has played one game in pouring rain.

Seriously some of you just want to pot anyone you can. He is the least of our worries.

I've quoted this for this brilliant post.

Barely did a pre season. I love this kid and have been a fan since day dot. I love blokes who I different and unique.

One thing I will say is that he rarely wastes the ball. With Tomlinson now locking down that 3rd defender spot, its up to Baker now to own that spot. Really hope Langdon takes him under his wing over the summer.

Good on him , very happy for sauce.

Holds his spot in the side.

His best game for us and hopefully a game to build his footy career from. That should give him some confidence.

That's it Redleg. I've seen enough of him at Casey to realise he's a player who will thrive with a little self-belief

14 possies and 2 goals tonight. He’s a good snap. Was more involved in the play. Still looks raw in general play but credit where credit is due.

On what he showed tonight he has a future.

The goals were great, but it's the positioning and run that is far more important.

Field kicking is actually very good. Covers the ground well and can see he is learning from Langdon.

I like him on the other wing.

If Baker and Petty can become top 15 players in 2021 we will have a far better team.

This years three draft picks plus Langdon gives us 6  good players who were not available in 2019.

Some hope for optimism in 2021

One thing that should help him improve is watching Langdon on the other wing and how hard he works.
Will make our spread so much better if we have two decent paced wingers belting up and down each wing all game.

Always remember his dad saying, when he was about to play his first game, “ just take em son, just take em on”. And that is exactly what he will do when he becomes a lock in our best 22.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
