I thought Max Rooke had moved on. Am I mistaken?

He was definitely there.

He's one I'm watching closely. He's exactly what we're screaming out for.

Preuss stayed back to do extra goal kicking and forward craft with Max Rooke. Preussy has lost considerable weight in the upper body and looking really fit.

Skills, drills and role play. Might have a six-shooter in the hip pocket for 2020.

On Jordan - not to derail - but he is 2 months older than Noah Anderson and 1 month older than Tom Green (pick 2 and 3ish from this year). You have to think another year in the under 18s and he would have been taken a little higher than 33.

As far as I'm concerned either don't advertise that there's a training on or do it at the right time. I know the club has much bigger things to worry about but it's a multi-million dollar business with a truckload of employees, one of them can update the website.

They're too busy ringing around at the moment trying to get us all to renew our memberships.

I’m betting that Million Dollar Jack Martin was also a no show today.

But we did get a million dollar report from his brother @kev martin

I agree, may have a lot of support from Clayton Oliver, as he seems to be paired up with him a fair bit.

Do you see him as a replacement for Hibberd when the time comes?

Yes, though haven't seen much of him in a game. Could see Hibberd being his mentor.

Well, someone will have to replace him in a year or so and Jordon could be the one.

Jordon hasn't played a lot of footy and is getting better game by game.

I could see him as a regular in 2021, when Jetta and Hibberd may be at the end, or gone.

If we get Murray, he is another one who would be considered for the hbf.

The coaches see him more as a mid that can play half back

I was trying to think of players who have bulked up from year 1 to 2 as much as Jordon.

I think I saw a photo of Jordon and I didn't think he had built up that much.

Are there any pictures from training so far that someone can post here?

Saty?

Pruess could be our secret weapon in 2020... according to Burgess he's lost 8-10 kgs. He clearly showing the team and coaches that he wants to be in the 1sts next year and not stuck down in Casey. Same goes to Omac, he's looking much stronger in the shoulders.

Good to see Sam Blease is still around the club and finally contributing.

I do too. He has some of the skinniest legs I’ve seen on an AFL player.

Cameron Bruce struggled to put on any muscle.

Another really good session

For his admirers Joel Smith joined in some of the ball movement drills

Hibberd in attendance, another one with a completely different body shape, looks super fit

Viney, Gawn, Harmes there was well

Weid, Hannan and Baker just light work

Nietschke doesn't look too far off, so another new player, doing laps at full pace

Petracca and Salem there, Trac was probably the stand out during the ball movement drills, Salem was his usual immaculate foot skills

Another one who is looking good early on is Spargo, stronger and faster, did some really good ball distribution by foot

Any sign of Langdon?

No, expect next week, same with Tomlinson

Has someone told you that?

Given that he played in the GF he would still have a fair bit of time off I would imagine.

I think in his first interview he said a few more weeks and back into it

I doubt he would want to start later at a new club, unless he 'has to take' the extra time

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
