Frost deal getting close and could be done tomorrow.

Most likely we want 30, as does GWS, for Patton.

That is probably the hold up.

Hawks are also interested in Bonar from GWS so that could be holding things up.

Could we be angling for pick 10 here somehow? 22 + Frost for 10?

12 pick downgrade for a KPP for them. Especially if they are paying him 500k+

They get book-end KPPs and go to the draft with 22.

Gee, first O'Rourke and now Bonar? Clarko's losing his marbles. Just as well he's going to land Frosty.

That being said, frost is a far superior player. Omac is not.

FAR superior? Come on

What would the Hawks give us?

Hawks have Pick 11,30,50,87.

Pick 30 is about right I think , 50 is Unders of the back of his 2019.

This is where Mahoney and co need to be smarter when discussing our own players during trade week. Talk them up even if you don't rate them helps drive up the price. We suck at this

How would that work?

Mahoney - "Frost is a required player"

Wright - "but he told us you didn't offer him a contract and told him to explore his options?"

Mahoney - “That was just....fugazi.”

Bonar and Patton for 11 (and change)

6 and 11 to Dees for 3 (and 2020 2nd rounder)

6 and 11 for 3?

6 11 and Gunston

?

This is the terrible level of comedy I'd expect out of an SNL writer, there could be a future in it for you

Mahoney might threaten to go to all the other suitors for Frost.

Oh, that’s right, how many other suitors are there? We’ll get what we can, we don’t have any cards.

Strange isn’t it, with so many here thinking Frost is such a good player his services aren’t more in demand.

Mahoney shouldn’t bluff. Get the deal done and move on.  We need the list space and we have no cards.

Maybe 6,11 and Mitchell. It is Mahoney so most likely we l end up taking unders for Frost.

Yes, Mahoney is practically Hitler when it comes to trading. Wish we hadn't landed Oliver, Lever or May. Shocking.

I hate Hawthorn.  They laugh at us and we carry zero respect.  If in this mad universe that we trade away Frost, we need to get value. Pick 30 or fu&&(off.

If we get a second round pick for a depth player, we'll be laughing.

Why are Hawthorn trading for frost?

but you wouldn't say that if you compared omac to frost at the same age as omac

just saying

We are talking about the present. Frost has more upside than OMac. If we wanted to trade Omac, we would have to throw in an extra player to get the deal done.

So Frost then?

I’m starting to believe Damien Barrett really rates Frost. His sliding doors in the last 5 weeks.

Sep 13

If

there were a heap of problems in 2019 ...

then

I didn't see Sam Frost as one. Need to keep him.

Sep 20

If

I've said it previously ...

then

I'll back over it here. Sam Frost is a player worth keeping.

Oct 4

If

you've had a season that was only one step above hell ...

then

I have zero idea how you've allowed one player who actually tries every single week, and who hurts with every single loss, to walk. Yes, Frosty has his flaws. But there's no way I'd be allowing him to leave.

Today

If

Ed Langdon and Tomlinson are the ins ...

then

that at least balances the loss of Frost.

Pick 30 will do it. Hawks might want to give up less but seems they’re pretty keen.

He certainly has a little crush on Frost.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
