and what would you do with Stretch... renewing all three could be a challenge

Stretch is very much at the crossroads and I would not rule out him being elsewhere next year!

I'm a big JKH fan

So dissappointed his injury happened as he would've gotten a good senior stint to prove himself

I know he's depth, probably ahead of Stretch with skills, but behind ANB for size and tank (but better skills)

I hope he gets another year

I was actually surprised he was dropped a few weeks ago I thought him serviceable.

Keep for another year, possibly at Stretch's expense!

Slim pickings for the AFL team...

On a day which should have suited Spargo 13 possessions is not a great return! I would have thought!

Still think he can make it, but we will make changes at season's end and he could be one of them.

Five seems to be about the minimum number of changes we make and Lewis will be one, so a few boys will need to perform, unless a couple want out, which will free up places.

Out of interest would you put Jay k-H in the seniors ahead of Alex N-B?

I think ANB is a much better pressure fwd than JKH.   JKH is an outside mid and I believe a bit soft and that’s why he doesn’t get a look in.

The selection criteria (from the outside) appears unfathomable at times. JKH was selected after an extended period of recovery from his knee injury and performed credibly at Marrara v crows. To be omitted after one game in favour of  Mitch Hannan for the big freeze game v  pies. Who appears to have had an extended opportunity to gain match fitness whilst playing at AFL level. His performances thus far have not been particularly overwhelming. Michael Hibberd who has struggled at times to replicate a semblance of his All - Australian form post 2017, when available seems to be an 'automatic' selection. Whereas Josh Wagner (who has a chorus of detractors on this forum) is the first dropped but continues according to pundit(s) yesterday at Casey "to give 100%". Admire his attitude and commitment. Beyond the "gruppe denk", fair and objective observation, whilst noting his on-field performance parameters, suggest his contributions are overdue for some revision and perhaps grudging respect. On team selection the match committee would do well to defer to "reputation never has much to do with reality".

Things do tend to disappear when you swallow.  If you mean Sparrow, he's injured.

Only 2 of our recently drafted youngsters are not injured, Jordon and Bedford.

This story seems to be a bit hard to swallow, but  being a sparrow, Hope he hasn"t bitten of more than he can chew?

This interesting surname is of Anglo-Saxon origin, and derives from the Olde English pre 7th Century "spearwa", Middle English "sparewe", a sparrow. The surname was originally given to a homely or chirpy person,

Wonder if he lives up to his name

Maynard has no chance of making it at AFL level but I'd love him to get another go before he's inevitably delisted just for the tackles.

Does anyone have a take on Dunkley's game?  Looking like he might get an AFL game on merit this season or perhaps not?

Wasn’t a standout at all. Couple of average games in a row. Not banging on any door atm.

Did Bedford play an average game this week Chell?  I think he wants to debut next week!  ?

Dunno, wasn’t out there, but I do know tht Dunkley has had ok form only at Casey. Was surprised to see him picked ahead of JKH. I am no JKH fan, but he had been in better form. I guess we are just rolling the dice now that the season is cooked.

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
