Job for @Demonlandmate. I have nothing to do with the banner.

Don’t tell me you’re another one that thinks we’re the same person? ?

I thought you were the one on the right in the 'Podcast Live' banner Nash.... Demonland the other!  ?  So it's the reverse then!  You cut a mighty fine cloth!  Thought about a gig at HF?

Nothing story that a journalist beat up without knowing any facts

May did the wrong thing, drinking in public.

If he is in the middle of a relationship breakup i don’t begrudge him a beer or two. I just wish he had done it at home and had orange juice ? at the Pub...

What part was ''beaten up'' ?

Absolutely pathetic by May, the club is sponsored by Johnnie Walker so why the hell is he drinking beer?

Add a bit of coke and Tom's your uncle!

What is the drama with having a few beers on a Sunday?  I can't see the harm.  What if it was Jones or Gawn,  would anyone care?

It won't be long before a footballer is caught eating some sort of fast-food and then castigated left,  right and centre for doing so.

Over the top nanny state bs in my opinion.  Behind closed doors,  transgressions would be far far worse.  Having a beer out in public is utterly harmless.  Treat 'em like robots and that is what you will get.

We've had our moments on here, but I know you're not stupid.

Who Morris supports should have nothing (and I mean literally zero) to do with his work content or reporting of ''news''.

If Morris was prepared to compromise his journalistic content based upon who he grew up supporting he should look for a new career.

I'm staggered people think otherwise.  Actually, no, I'm not.

Why do you get so outraged by others opinions that are different to your own?

Spare me the irony.

This is called deflecting.  It's common when people can't address the actual assertion.

It's weak, but all you've got I suppose.

The ‘drama’ is the club has a no alcohol rule while in rehab. Neither Gawn nor Jones are injured.

This in itself is not a hangable offense by any means, but it’s another disappointing day for a player we have already invested a lot in who so far has given us SFA back.

At this rate Lever is going to be back playing before May does. The guy is 27. He has little time to waste not doing the right thing 99% of the time.

The break up of a relationship wasn’t part of the Morris equation. I doubt he bothered to do much research. If he did,  he looks even worse

I don’t think I’m allowed to say because I haven’t seen any mention of it, but May had a pretty good reason to have a couple of beers (a bad thing happened to him personally)

I think everyone just needs to lay off the poor bloke

That’s sad to hear. But as Mahoney said alcohol shouldn’t be used as a fix.

In general young people tend to try and mask their issues with booze. It never works.

I'm still trying to grapple with what Morris supposedly ''beat up''.

Can you shed some light ?  You know, specifically what he exaggerated.

All of it. Who cares if he had a few beers? It’s none of the press’s business. If he had a break up of a relationship or another personal problem it’s also none of their nosey, nasty small-minded business; it's just sensationalism that is primarily used to sell crappy newspapers that are a waste of paper except to wipe your bum with.

Do you really believe that rule would ever be adhered to? Boys will be boys is the rule of thumb here.

As I said,  harmless stuff.

The agenda by many here is that he hasn't been able to play (injured) and supporters are therefore frustrated ... so May having a beer out in public feeds their frustration.

What is he supposed to do ... lock himself away for 3 months?  He's probably got OP so don't expect him back in a hurry.

That article does a nice job of rubbing some salt into our recruiting wounds with the last two paragraphs:

'Melbourne gave up pick No.6 in last year's NAB AFL Draft to secure May and former Sun Kade Kolodjashnij, who has managed two matches in his first season at the Demons.

Kolodjashnij has been sidelined indefinitely with concussion.'

They are reporting off field issues, Drunkn.  A few beers and home before sunset. In real life this will have minimal impact on his rehab or his training.  I hope he is OK, and can get whatever is happening to him sorted.  He is an easy target because he is a big name, on big bucks.  People suggesting the trade was a bust are going prematurely.  Still way too much water to go under the bridge to make such an assessment.  He was recruited to do a job.  When he is back on the park, we can judge him around that.

Nothing to see here.  Move along to the next outrage.  Perhaps Ablett getting off because giving him a ban is a bad look for the game?

Great.

I need specific quotes and examples.

But how do I already know you won't provide these ?

Wow, I'm clairvoyant ?

The extent of the crime.

Do i have to justify my opinion to you all the time?

it’s a nothing story, that is actually a little bit sad...

I wonder what would have happened if that foul mouthed Hawks TV 'personality' knocked May's beer all over him?

Can you highlight the part where he exaggerated the extent of the crime ?

This shouldn't be hard, after-all it's your accusation not mine.  So, I assume you've read what's been exaggerated.

It's a pretty simple request.  I'm keen to know, because I may have missed it.

WTF are you talking about??

Last night when this rubbish broke, there was no mention of a Relationship Breakup at all?

Morris went early without any research

crass and cheap journalism, which sadly is too common in today’s world

He'll probably get drunk at home tonight, would only regret being caught.

Journalism is about selling rag newspapers and advertisements online not about the truth. Journalists don’t care who they hurt along the way.

Hang on.  You said he'd beaten up the story.  You said he exaggerated.

What part was ''beaten up'' ?

And how do you know he wasn't respecting May's privacy or even knew about any relationship issues ?

Btw, there are 3 questions there.

People have different ways of dealing with things. A couple of beers with some close mates at a pub whilst having a chat is what works for some people. Better than him dealing with it alone and bottling up any emotions he may be feeling.
