This must mean Preuss is playing then.  No way would Keilty be playing a second of the curtain raiser if Preuss was under a cloud or out.

Unless O Mac comes in for Preuss, which would not make much sense.

Exactly,  'Ptrcatc'...

Keilty must be an in , for Wednesday, instead.

Pickett looks a likely type. Could be someone we look at in the draft as we are crying out for a fast, skillful small forward.

Anyone know much about him? The commentators said he is Byron Pickett's nephew... which I also like.

That reminded me we finally have  a 1st round pick in what seems like forever.  Jason Taylor will be rapt.

Lovely goal by Dec.

Wale-Buxton reported for a high hit on an opponent.

Which Tribunal will hear that?

It is an exhibition game.

No one really impressing majorly at the moment. Keilty looks good but the rest quiet. Tim Smith can't kick

I’m thinking Stretch is alright and Oscar is fine. I know they are highly rated kids - but I can’t still shake that they are 17 so our 9? Professional footballs should look a class above. Would have loved to have seen Sparrow today.

Casey are not busting their guts out there. It is just a practice run.

pickett has blistering pace but his ball use is atrocious

edit: although better than anb's d50 exit kick...my god that was ugly

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
