Casey have taken off a few players and the Aussies have gotten on top in the past 5 minutes. They trail by 18 points.

Umps have lifted for the spoilt brats.

Three Quarter Time: Casey Demons 8.6.54 to Australia 8.5.53

Goals M Lewis 2 Briggs Garlett Keitly Neal-Bullen T Smith White

Stretch, Garlett not back out after half time. They're obviously in the selectors' minds for Wednesday night.

Do we have any Melbourne players left on the field? They’ve all been pulled or ko’d by Casey teammates.

Think Oscar not there either?

Well, that quarter was enough to pump you up for the journey to the G. That was a horror show.

Yeah - haven’t seen him. Also not sure if I’ve seen Keilty either.

Well said by Twig in the huddle.

Nor Tim Smith.

Nib and Jordon are still out there

Skills are deplorable.

The commentators are really excited. If I was Power (coach) id be annoyed that the game against A/VFL opponents ends up being against 10 Afl lister players and in the second half only 4 are out there. Not surprising that the Aust team are coming over the top.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
