Farcical it wasn't a free to Weed earlier, even more farcical that he was given one just then.

Like always, umpires are continually negatively influencing the contest.

Aaah you can tell footy is back when you come on here, players are getting bagged, umps are copping it and we are losing.

Wasted opportunity by Hibberd. Harmes intensity has been well down today. Looks like he's avoiding contact if anything. very strange!

Take this into the season proper and we are in for a big drop down the ladder, too many good teams below us

That’s what happens when ur playing like crap

They’re absolutely killing us all over the ground.  Credit to them.

Nibbler has been awful this pre season. No other way to dress it.

We look so hectic when going forward, yet we're letting them waltz through the midfield going the other way.

ANB has turned fumbling and falling over into and art form. Tiny hands and oily feet.

Only positives so far are Hunt and Petracca playing to their strengths and having an impact. Gawn is wining taps, but it's not leading to any effective clearances. Everyone else is playing poorly, and the effort is non-existent. Hope the coach gives them a rocket and makes them have a crack. We're getting shown up by a worse team than us who are more organised and working harder.

He's probably been the worst drop off in form since last year. He'll never be a star, but was always working hard and contributing. This preseason he has been pathetic in every aspect of the game and doesn't warrant a place in the team come round 1.

Gawn the only winner on the ground for us. Trac and Hunt ok.

The rest are no good. Oliver and Gus barely getting their hands on the footy?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
