Not worth a packet of Milk Coffee (worst biscuits ever)

Totally agree with all of that...

... Except the milk coffee biscuit bit. Have I been living my life all wrong? They're not my fav biscuit by any stretch, but they've been alright from time to time! It's a dunking biscuit. And there's an art to dunking, but not losing the biscuit, because they're not as solid as, say, a malt o milk.

Kingstons are worse, surely?

Freo lowballing has all the hallmarks of neophyte football administrators Peter Bell - straight out of radio and Steve Rosich - Dockers CEO with commercial not footy admin experience moonlighting due to staff departures, trying to prove to Freo fans and the AFL community that they have hair on their chest and are tough hard negotiators.

Rarely has an AFL club entrusted its trade week negotiations to 2 more inexperienced staff members.

Will be most amusing if Hogan stays a Dee in 2019 then accepts a trade to the Eagles!

Malt'o'Milk are even worse. And naming those other biscuits 'nice' is the greatest misnomer of all time.

But getting back to the topic at hand, here's a thought. I agree with those who have said not to cave in. If a reasonable offer is not made, then keep Hogan. If Melbourne has an excellent season, JH may be encouraged to change his mind about leaving.

Yeah, Nice are poor.

Haha yeah I took a bit of a biscuit detour there.

Agree with that approach, we hold all the cards, and it would be mighty hard for Hogan to leave us next year after we win the flag!

And we'll get May (this or next year). Win win!

The Dees need to tell Freo to suck a [censored]!

Jesse’s manager should be calling Freo out hear! Ridiculous...

Jesse and his manger should be embarrassed with the way Freo operate. a Freo is making them look stupid.

I would love if Jessie signed a long term deal with us and said he was sick of how incapable Freo were in trying to get a deal done... ? ?

If Carlton players can accept and deal with Gibbs being out the door in a year, i'm sure demon players can too. Assuming Hogan goes all in with that final year and pumps his value, it's a win win.

So you're putting Carlton up as the example to follow??

What I'm getting at is either Hogan hasn't been honest with the club (during season) or the club hasn't been honest with us. Angus and Goody hosed off noise around Hogan leaving WEEKS ago, defending his commitment to Melbourne. Jesse "loves" Melbourne they said. Clearly Jesse doesn't.

Hawks have offered 15 and Ryan Burton (2015 #19, 47 game defender, 2018, 23 games) for Chad Wingard

2 x First Rounders (albeit later) but Burton looks to have improved and is ready made. Port have knocked it back.

Puts Freo's offer for JH in a bit more perspective - not that it was required

Wingard is an elite talent but his production over the last 2 years has been below par for his talent and contract. Turned up out of shape for last preseason. Hopefully its like the OMeaera deal and Clarko gets what he wants without the likes of Fagan or Evans being there to over rule the trade offer. Pick 15 and Burton'd be nice. Hawks fans love Burton and are currently having conniptions at the very thought of him being traded. Of course if Wingard decides to reenter the world of professional football they may forget Burton.

Hear, hear!

Peter Bell strutting around like Napoleon playing to the peanut gallery in Perth. Goodonya little fella. Pfft!

All posturing aside Freo’s endgame here is to get us to agree to 5 & 23 for Hogan. They then trade 11 for Lobb and get the two big men they’re after in the door.

Our likely final asking price is 5 & 11, which gets them Hogan but risks them missing out on Lobb. So you can see their bind.

In any case, if they don’t [censored] Neale off to Brisbane Hogan will remain a Demon. That much we can be sure of. Hogan goes nowhere unless pick 5 is transferred to us.

I still have a feeling next year’s first round picks may come into play in the final wash up.

Fun and games folks. Don’t get sucked in by the ‘mean and nasty’ of it. It’s just business.

What entertainment.

Anyone taking this circus seriously needs to join my psychotherapy group.

I recommend it.

Wanting to go home but having love for the club and the players aren’t mutually exclusive. Have a listen to what the boys said about him at the B&F, they all said no matter what happens Jesse will always have mates at the club and they love him.

I’m sure there’ll be words said but they are professionals and they’ll get on with the job. Plus should he remain a demon he’d surely see it as one of his best chances to win a premiership.

Dark chocolate royals are fantastic (and highly underrated)!  And you can't go wrong with the classic Tim Tam!

What's happening with Hogan? My computer is playing up and haven't been able to watch or hear the news. It , in my opinion would be a travesty if he left our beloved demons.  He has given so much to us under difficult personal issues.. He is a champion!!

The most serious and factual post in this thread...

Josh needs to get a few beers into a fired up Todd Viney and hand the phone to Todd with Peter Bell on the other end.  A few home truths to the garden gnome should get things moving.

I think Orios are grossly overrated. Gaietys are really good possibly my favourites.

I don't like Chocolate Ripples. And I think Chocolate Ripple Cake is best left to 5 year olds.

Marie/Milk Arrowroots are the very essence of boring.

Family Assorted - abysmal. Especially the biscuits with the yellow (pus) filling.

And the squashed ants biscuits are also terrible.

Tim Tam Turkish Delight is surely the new king of bikkies SWYL?

If you want an awesome packet of assorted, nothing comes close to Griffins. Not sure if they are sold here any more, but jeebus they are good.

If Freo want to include a packet of each with pick 11, I'm sold.......

How about the chocolate Teddy Bear biscuits?

Take a small bite from top right, small bite from bottom left, dunk it in your cuppa and suck right through it, delightful.

I don't get why it's so certain that he's going after the contract expires. As if he HAS to go home. As if, of course that is more important, than the club. Rubs me the wrong way. Especially after Jesse has said that he won't leave, that the going home factor is done and dusted. Obviously you get on with the job, but this is a really bad outcome for us (if he is certain to leave next year) and we definitely should not deal with Freo next season short of them paying overs for him.

Hahaha!!! Don’t mind dunking the odd Ripple myself.

But NOTHING comes close to a Dark Chocolate Royal.

I stick em in the freezer and then proceed to walk back and forth to the kitchen every 30 minutes for one!

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
