Frost - We need May (or someone)

That’s light on Frost. Him and Omac were horrible in the first quarter.

So was the midfield, especially Brayshaw and Tyson which led to the delivery by Meth Coast into their fifty. Multiple stupid and unskilled handballs and fumbles.

Bad post full stop.

We got to a prelim final and were over awed and out played by an experienced very good team. My 3 word analysis is for our team is

"Too many turnovers"

Not fair to individualise players the TEAM played badly.

Team - seemingly no bootstops!

Season 2018 - a winnable flag

First time in my lifetime I actually thought we could beat the other side playing in the Grand final. That's what cuts deep about this loss, if we had beaten West Coast we could have been premiers.

This loss is in the top 5 most hurtful of my life.

I'm going to lay off the players, because the hurt is too strong to fairly analyze their performance.

Sad but true.

The Demons could not keep their feet !!  they could not handball.  Gave first few goals to the eagles from our mistakes and we played their (the eagles)  game   and not ours   !!

The team - overwhelmed by occasion

   AND

thanks for season

Typical JoeBoy response to a loss by slagging everyone. You are such a fairweather 'supporter'!!

And whom would you praise in 3 words for today’s performance?

Proudly finished fourth

I was scared to open this thread as I couldn't think of a single winner today. Didn't disappoint.

To be fair, that was an absolute dog day. Who did you think had a good day? Particularly in the first half when the game was up for grabs?

It doesn't mean the season was a failure, but that was a shocking performance today.

Yes what is it with that? Multiple Dees players falling over and costing us turnovers and goals.

This is not the first game that we seem to be playing on ice.

Not always one to go in for the three word analysis thread, but I can't really fault today's one, Joeboy.

It is a three word analysis of today's game vs. West Coast remember - not the season in totality

And I always thought that it was WCE who played on ice.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
