Has averaged less than 10 touches and three tackles over his 100 games.

Happy to let him slide through to Geelong.

Geelong seem to be on this weird, get all ex falcon boys to the club drive, irrespective of whether they improve the team or not.

Henderson, Ablett, Dalhaus, Rohan...

They're a sinking ship.

Sadly for Gary, he has put in two really poor grand final appearances. Once is understandable, twice is deeply concerning.

A late pick is such a big thing to part with? How is p60ish/ d johnstone doing? Or mitch king, Billy Stretch, P mckenna by comparison? Meanwhile a similar player of Rohans ilk in lewis jetta who has impacted a GF pops up with a critical play and goal in the last to seperate the two teams, if they win a premiership, his trade would have payed off with that one play - im sure the same Rohan commentary would be there with Jetta too. Not such a big issue to back the FD on a project player whos shown an ability to have an impact on a game with their burst of speed at AFL level

Billy Stretch was having a cracking year in the VFL and was then one of our best v Freo before he was injured.

Tom & Oscar McDonald were both taken in the 50's in the draft, as was Nev, Hunt & Harmes even later (rookie).

Given how long Rohan's been around, I think his scope for improvement is a bit more limited compared to others.

Rohan doesnt need to improve, his best has shown to be good enough in a Sydney team that has regularly made finals - he just needs to get on the park. I can see the reasoning for backing our current developing players and going into the draft. i just dont see how pointing to his stats somehow invalidates his worth given he's a starter when fit for Sydney. High impact player with fewer disposals.

Im not going to die on the recruit gary rohan hill, but this board wants ready made outside pace now and not in 2-3 years, and like adam saad with his flaky contested stats, an oppurtunity to acquire the services of outside pace has presented itself - but everyone seems to not want anyone that isnt elite like gaff, who's eliteness means we've been outbidded on. Its only realistic to expect an immediate role player with a sporadic ability to impact a game  (when fit) at that cost.

i know i should be quiet a little here and stop labouring on, but just an additional point that 6/6/6 next year will make it even more important to have someone that can run a pace ahead of others, or keep up with your gaff types

I don’t understand what the cats are even trying to do with their list, Dahlhaus and Rohan are going to make no difference. This is heading towards Mark needs scattergun territory for them.

Spud of the highest order avg less then a goal a game 9 touch's a game, most over rated spud ever, he is lucky to have been drafted by Sydney, Dom Barry has those stats, make watts look like the duck

The problem is that Rohan can’t get onto a  park of any significance these days. Last weekend, he was running around in the NEAFL in front of a few hundred people while the likes of Mitch Hannan were dashing towards goal in front of 90k.

Rohan’s best chance of reinvigorating his career is back home in Geelong but I don’t think his chances are strong because of his history of injuries and the fact that he’s getting on a bit.

I'll put it more succinctly for you WJ, we don't need other club's crap anymore.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
