Round 12 Non-MFC

A Port win keeps us in touch with the top 2 and a home final + double chance (thinking big)

A Tigers win leaves Port with 6 wins after 11 games and gives us a two game buffer inside the 8.

Edit - We already  have a 2 game buffer inside the 8 even if Port wins.  But it will give us more breathing space.

If we just keep on winning, everything else doesn't matter.

Apparently Dusty isn’t playing. You heard it here first.

You need to update your interests, no longer just 'trade breaking'.

Hoping T.Boak has a big one...SC self interest.

But we won't so analysing the pros and cons of who we want to win is a valid exercise.

On the assumption that Tigers are a definite top 4 which is widely agreed a Port loss is our best outcome as it gives us just that extra little buffer in making the 8..

Any word on Spargo joining Dusty in NZ for a rest?

I’ve heard whispers that Spargo was inside Dusty’s backpack that he took onto the plane.

Hope it’s not United Airlines.

Private airline. Dusty’s old man needed some ‘packages’ bought over.

Just as long as the 'packages' are in the 'prison wallet' and Spargo isn't.

You could fit one and a half Charlie Spargos in there.

I realise that Dustin Martin is out but who else is out to cause Richmond to be $2 plus underdogs.

Pardon my ignorance but I've been travelling

thanks

Prestia, Houli and Rioli. Still though Tigers should be clear favourites.

One on one king 0-1.

Edit: 0-2.

Dusty out means Port will roll them and prance around like millionaires, claiming they are Top 4 material.  Puke.

Have you made it to Russia yet? Safe travels.

Thanks... In Athens now and off to Moscow tomorrow ?

Neither of these teams is very good. I'd back us to beat Port and Richmond (at AO at least, not that we'll play them there) handily.

Fritsch for Watts is the biggest upgrade of two players I can remember.

Jack Watts reached his career peak on QB last year. All downhill from there.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
