Mandatory 3 list changes every year. Who do you have ahead of him?

I would say Pedo, if Weid finally comes good because we have King and Flip developing as well, age may finally count against him

JKH if he can't crack a senior game

Vince, age again

I don't see Lewis playing in 2019 as he is slowing down noticeably.

The players you mentioned would be in the group to be looked at and  Vanders and McKenna if they can't get on the park.

Kent I think will leave if we don't play him and Frost could as well if he isn't played.

As our list is ok at this stage and tinkering only is needed, not wholesale change, we might only trade/delist 3-4 players.

Anyway bit early for me to worry about list changes at this stage.

Surely the club wouldn't be so stupid as to give this guy another contract without seeing him play at least six VFL games this season. Coming up to 4 years on AFL lists, and hasn't come close to playing AFL football in that time.

McKenna is number 1 on the chopping block for me, just ahead of Vandenberg & Kennedy-Harris. Patience and loyalty are one thing, but you can't just keep blokes around forever if they aren't playing.

If they cannot get on the park it does not matter how skilled they are.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Lewis came to us on a 3 year contract.

Might serve the last year as an assistant coach.

Fair enough, I'd say Pedersen is likely to get another year but the other two are likely on the chopping block.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom
