game has past Trengove

I would have to concur.

Sadly, I see Bernie coming straight back in the team next week. I would have loved some competition for that spot (not because I have anything against Bernie).

Trenners would have to put in a blinder in the second half for me to change my mind.

Must improve our in close work.  Not at our usual standard.

Fair to say that if we lose today we will be lucky to make finals but we certainly won't win a flag.

Surely we have more to play for than this annoying hippy haired side.

Ok. Awful is a little harsh. Been some quiet  players today, but his disposal has been costly today.

Goodwin was just interview for those not watching the telecast.

his words "we need to harden up around the footy".

Let's do it Dee's.

At least the umpiring hasn't sucked today. I've found it to be pretty much on-point.

Jack Watts and Dom Tyson doing their best to keep North in it

What is Lewis actually doing? Most ineffective spare man I've ever seen.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
