*now that the ringing in the ears has finally stopped and my heart beat has slowed a little - im able to remember a bit more of the earlier stages of the game and thought Jetta was super solid (as always) and helped stopped their flow several times when we were really struggling to do so. He's such a lock of a player for us.

6. Trac (4 qrtr effort and a couple of brilliant acts kept us in it in the 2nd quarter - and what about his underground handball when he was in for a centre bounce during the 3rd qtr that led to Melksham's goal)

5. Jones (Led from the front with a big effort to get us back into it)

4. Tyson (Was another key player in the 2nd to help keep us in it - and given his role I tend to forgive his clangers more than others do on here)

3. Hibberd (Really stood up to the constant pressure down back)

2. Garlett (I think this is his best year ever, better than his best year at Carlton)

1. Watts (Stood up when he needed to with both that goal and that touched ball for Collingwood's shot on the last line in the very next play - would have got more but he seemed unsettled early due to the early game injury and let it affect his kicking at goal for a bit there).

Missed out - Hunt (just a little off with his kicks this week, but that happens every now and then), Clarrie (looks like he's starting to trust his ability to kick out of a pack and not just handball - this could be very important later in the year)

kicked a lovely goal, but he gets a lot of the ball and turns it over (nearly) as much as much as taylor adams, burns his teammates, and doesn't offer nearly enough defensive coverage

a good player, but the raving over his performances is over the top for mine

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
