Loved the video.

Would love to see a them extending the practical joke a bit more.

Like pretend to give someone a game and then say "Dees Candid Camera- sucked in you idiot- you'll never play afl level"

or tell someone they'd will be traded to Gold Coast- then tell them it's a joke .

Just a few random ideas for where we can take this

Well Pickett Fence said we should cut ties asap with Casey and start our own because the alignment doesn't work ?

Goodwin has shown his hand.

He will keep playing Oscar and Weed as long as they keep following instructions. Only way they'll be dropped is if they don't follow team rules or lose fitness or form so egregiously there is no alternative but to drop them. Get games into them.

Joel Smith. Same deal.

Tim Smith. Same deal, at least until Hogan is back in. Get games into them, find out what they can do.

Pedo, Trenners, can get ready for a long season at Casey, and silently pray for a killer run of injuries.

Tim Smith has been picked because he was the tall forward in the best form. Goodwin has shown his hand that if you are performing at VFL level you will get a game. On last weeks form at Casey the next tall option would be Keilty. Pedo is not in form at the moment and it would have been an injustice if he had been given a game this weekend. I am sure he will be considered again when his fitness and form warrant it.

Not having seen Casey for some time what are Tim's strengths. Can he mark overhead in the pack or on the lead? Can he play KFP at 192cm. Has he got any pace at all? Is he hard at the ball. Have not yet seen a description of his abilities.

Like a prank telling him he's been stood down for stealing stationary/post-it notes and then filming him breaking down in tears as his dreams are crushed perhaps?

Yes, watched him for last three years and most training sessions since he joined the club

Your questions pretty much answer all that he is capable of manny. Watched him a number of times with Casey and on his day he is a solid all rounder in all those aspects. Hard as nails and strong through body with tackles inside 50 as well as through the middle. Is a natural forward upstairs, reads the play up the field extremely well, knowing when/where to run to get to the drop of the ball and when to present up on the lead. He runs the angles well and is 'usually' super accurate anywhere inside 50.

Stepping up to AFL level might take a few weeks though so not expecting a break out game or amazing accuracy in First game or two. Might need 3 to 4 weeks to find his groove. I think if he is given that 3 to 4 weeks he will easily be our most consistent effective forward and will play an important role in shaping our destiny into our first finals series in 11 years.

Im predicting he will be our version of Podsiadly and have that sort of impact over the next 4 years or so, assuming he can stay healthy and remain on the park.

I'm a big Pedo fan but you'd have to say he won't feature much in Goody's plans and seems to only be on the list to make up numbers and for depth. It's a shame because I think he can play. He's not a champion but he's certainly not a dud.

Means we're moving forward then, doesn't it? : )

Im playing local footy in Gippsland Saturday morning, but by the time the games finished I should be able to drive down to Etihad just before the first bounce. Super keen to watch my first game for the season, even more so since the Bull is debuting! Cannot wait!

When he gets the ball or goes up for a mark it should be the long dragged out BUUUUULLLL! Like they do to Josh Bruce

Be nice to get a good Dees crowd to the game....we don't like cats supporters.

Telling someone they will play AFL for their club, then saying it is a joke is harsh. I don't think we should be doing that.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
