Get a small group of the boys to re-enact this.

Yes to this just to see Maxxy dressed like the oldest male!

Seriously though, if we're still a chance at finals hold off. Otherwise make it for the blues match at the G. Is that one of the replacement games?

I think I'd rather see Maxxy & fellow Dees on the footy show grand final in a 'Munsters' comedy skit.

Or in a Grand Final

Considering what he has done for our club, I'll be giving Roosy a standing ovation each time I see him on the ground at the Suns, Hawks and Blues games. ?????

Note that I do not agree with the unofficial chorus of the song in regard to Roosy. But since we're all posting farewell music here's one that Roosys mullet would surely have appreciated in the old days. Potentially could be accompanied by dancers lifting their veils of negativity.

Remember seeing the Angels around this time at the Manley Vale in Sydney. Like nothing I'd ever seen, incredible.

Yes, that to.

Remember a few months before Roosy was announced as coach, he did a mock Demon best 22 in the Herald Sun (i think) with a bunch of question marks in positions where we needed players?

If anyone can find a copy of that Id like to see the team and how many of the players he named are still regulars

Speaking of finals (as some on this thread have been) a mate of mine has two tickets for this years Grand Final.

 One night's accommodation, prime seats in a box, food and drink etc, but he didn't realise when he bought them that this is going to be on the same day as his wedding - so he can't go.

If you're interested and want to go instead of him, it's at St Peter's Church in Toorak Road, Toorak at 3.00pm.

Her name's Louise.

Gotta love the Could-have-beens! :wub::rolleyes:

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

    Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
