Frost looks like a lost athlete to me, not a natural footballer.

I think we need to give him a little time though.  It's been a while since he's played so he needs to match time to get back into the groove so to speak.

But he's been well off the pace today.

Frost with 1 handball, 1 tackle and 0 hit outs.

I'll be shocked if he's named round 1.

You'd think he'd be a Brownlow chance according to how some people talk him up.  Still needs plenty of development.

Kent and Tyson seem quiet, have they been on limited game time or something?

Such as?

I'll bite, Kent needs to involve himself more, Tommy Mc has had a bit of an error prone performance, even though it is Bernie Vince's first game, with his experience would expect a bit more

Thanks, I think you heard it from me first and to quote the popular phrase today, was 'howled down'

T Mc & Garland have butchered it more. I don't really want to name kids, but Kennedy, Hunt & Harmes will wanna improve ball use too.

Clayton Oliver looks very good. Will wait and see how he goes in the real stuff but he has the Ollie Wines body and POISE when he gets it.

We'll probably never see it again but that Garlett goal was as skilful as you'll ever see!

I'd like to VDB spend a little more time in the middle, rough those doggies up a bit. Loving Watts and Jeffy. If Jack keeps finding space and slotting them like this, he will find the boys looking for him a lot.

agreed on Viney, his disposal needs to be more damaging. Too many up and under hand balls, Hope he apologised to the captain. That said, he is looking phenomenal ain the coal face.

Salem and McDonald, I hope, will sharpen those skills as the season continues.

Thats my half time rant!

Frost can't play. Waste of a pick, he isn't a footballer. If we want athletes our recruiting team should just go to deremut gym.

I would've liked Kieran Collins instead of melksham just quietly.

If we held on to the Melksham pick we gave up, we still wouldn't have got him, as academy selections pushed our pick #25 down to pick #30. Collins still would've gone 4 picks before our pick, either way he wouldn't have been available to us.

That's a fair point.

Based on his actual impact so far, he's looking more like a homeopathic footballer.

Has the commentary mentioned the rotations? Are we and/or the WB trying to stick to the cap this week??

Sorry, all those draft permutations confused me. I like the look of him. Oh well.

No it's not, he is not 18, I said early on, the injury last year cruelled his development, expected him to just crash and bash today, he isn't, don't think the experiment is working

They mentioned the Dogs were, didn't saying anything about Melbourne.

Would like to get an idea of what the rotation numbers have been today.

It's not a fair point that we need to give Frost a little bit of time because he's missed a bucket load of footy?  It's not fair to give him time to find his feet again and get going?

Righto.

Can someone kneecap Lin Jong please?  The dud's got it on a string.

he's not a dud, he's a workhorse.

Righto.

He was being touted on here as a lock for Rd 1, as he has now not performed so far in 1 and 1/2 games, there is a lot of arse covering going on....so no sorry won't play

Jones gives away a free kick with a good tackle and gives away a free. He then gets buried around the head a minute later and nothing.

Agreed, I like the kid. He has a red hot crack.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
