The compromised drafts have suited them beautifully. Use trades or free agency for key position players and rucks, then draft mids and flankers. The other 17 teams are just feeder clubs for Hawthorn - maybe they should all stop trading with them if they want to limit the dominance.

Hawthorn simply will not fall away until Hodge, Mitchell and Lewis are gone. They are like 3 coaches basically directing the players on the ground.

Hawthorn are pretty much becoming the AFL's version of Real Madrid/Manchester United. Fourth straight GF!!! Sick of them. I don't particularly like West Coast, they've always seemed to have an arrogant culture, but I hope they can get the job done.

I was way off with the Darling prediction. I rate him highly but his temperament on the big stage left a lot to be desired. Maybe he's just a flat track bully (always kills US!!!)

Aside from their great skills, teamwork, pressure and structure what I love about how Hawthorn play is they never seem to lose their feet and manage to stand up in the contest.

I went back to watch our win over GWS and even in that game players such as Garland and Grimes just flop to the floor at every opportunity they get.

Being there yesterday and watching how the hawks play was just amazing. The way they structure up, defend and help each other out is great. There isnt over use of hand balling, hand balling to a stationary player when an opponent is right on him, blazing away and fumbling. They all do there job and to watch Cyril set up that win in the first quarter and at the beginning of the 2nd reminded me of all the exciting things the Whiz used to do.

Clarko has proven that you dont need to be a superstar player to be a great coach. He was never a great player, but a player who just gave everything but geez is a brilliant tactical coach. also the hawks have travlled twice to perth to get to the GF.

Never seen Priddis play so badly and Nic Nat well he gave nothing. His tap outs didnt really work. Hawthorn just read them and Hale and McEvoy just beat him around the ground.

One day I hope to see the same excitement and Jonsey up there on the stage with the cup.
