Brownlow Medal count 2015

Featured Replies

Fyfe won't win now.

I don't watch the coverage, I just use the tracker on the AFL website.

Much better this way.

The round by round retrospective COULD be good if they actually put some effort into it.

Nathan Jones polling well. Too bad we can never win enough games in a season to give him a legit chance of getting near it.

Round 4 N Jones in the lead!!!

If we ever stop being awful, Nathan Jones could win a Brownlow

I agree, if we actually have a good season then Nathan could be a brownlow winner. I thought Hogan may have got some votes against the tigs for not only playing well but beating Rance.

A mate of mine who knew Don Cordner well told me the story of his Brownlow win in 1946. Obviously no TV then, nor live coverage on radio I believe. Said that Cordner got a phone call from an VFL clerk the following morning asking him to come down to VFL HQ without mentioning the reason. When he got there the clerk told him he won the Brownlow and pulled the medal out of his desk drawer. Then he left with a handshake. No fanfare, no black tie, no WAGS.

Must have been hard to care about WAGs when Hitler’s corpse was barely cold and half the world was in ruins...

Hogan polls a couple against the Doggies.

Vanders with a bog, well done son!

Vandenburg! Way to go.

Great drafting by Jason Taylor.

looks like the AFL shop know the winner. CP_CzzaU8AADLQp.png

it does say concept purposes only, not sure why they would still mock one up though

Seeing that St Kilda goal still makes me angry. Need to get over it, don't I? :P

Seeing Nate Jones kick the sealer against the Cats the next week makes me feel a bit better.

EDIT: Maxy with the three votes!

WTF? Motlop played one good quarter in that game and Jones didn't poll votes with high 30s. What a joke!

Yep, how Motlop polled votes in that game is a joke!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
