spencer will be there next year will be needed as a back up at least. It takes time for the big guys to mature and he will improve next year

He improved this year too. He was brilliant against the Dogs adn Cats earlier in the season.

They're all being given their last run before being shown the door.

I don't know if Grimes is contracted for next year but I reckon he'll be given another run around. He's been serviceable in recent weeks without setting the world on fire.

I really hope there's another good cull this off season of NQRs, hoping for an aggressive trade period as well.

On this match, I just want the non-negotiable's. Tackling, effort, not giving up, hard running etc. All things we haven't seen in the last couple of weeks, I really thought we were past the point of "just wanting an effort", but here we are again. What I would really love to see is us tackling them to hurt, basically what we were doing earlier in the year. They've got to consider finals in a few weeks so start hitting them hard and they might go into self-preservation mode.

(Is that positive enough?)

I have the same feeling as before the Geelong and Collingwood games (WHICH WE WON). Whenever theres been this much criticism of us this year we've actually played well, hence why I think we'll win. Another record to fall!

Freo aren't a Geelong or Collingwood.

They will simply be too good.

We're fooked.

I'm genuinely worried this will be a 150+ point loss.

Only on D'land !

Riley to play tomorrow, my soothsayer believes it to be so!

The same Riley who in four games this year has a total of 36 possessions, 5 tackles and 7 clearances?

Yep, that'll make a difference.

Hes a spud. Can only tackle and thats it.

Exactly like Jordie Mckenzie.

You wouldn't perhaps be baiting someone?

Not at all. Seriously he is a tackler and thats it. Doesn't have pace, disposal is pretty average, and doesn't have the tank to play full time midfielder. When he gets picked he plays up forward because cannot simply cannot run a game out. Unfortunately that would probably be due to his leg injury but he will be gone at years end.

Good Casey player though. Its a pity because he was one player i really wanted to make it. Was happy when we picked him up but he has done SFA.

Couldn't agree more, McKenzie clone, has the guts and the hardness but bugger all else.

Thought it odd that OMac has been told he will play back (interview on MFC website) but is selected in forward pocket. The old red herring tactic...

Yep. That'll scare 'em.

We're a sneaky chance tomorrow. I can't believe I said that.

Ha ha We have NEVER beaten a Ross Lyon coached side.

We are a better chance to be 8 goals to 1 down like the last 3 weeks running. Roos has 'em really fired up this week. I am sure they'll come out and play like maniacs. If only those damned supporters wouldn't be so negative...

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
