Yep, Last week........

@Kali of course we weren't expected to beat them.

But they don't show anything! Evidently it's your "we're expected to lose" mentality that this team also has.

dont be silly. We're just not good enough yet.

Dawes has given us nothing. Pedo nothing. jake so slow he can barely get to a short throw in. at least the Russian makes it a contest. Our big men apart from hulk are shyte!

hey guys, first time i have posted. massive demons fan. Tonight is bad, infact for years we have been terrible. But lets not forget the introduction of gold coast and GWS and how many years of rebuilding they have taken from us. its hurts to watch them play

Welcome to demonland Hannaman, although if you continue with sensible, well thoughtout posts like this you wont fit in at all.....

Dunn shepherd wtf!!

We've been bad but Sydney's been average. Must be [censored] watching for a.neutral fan.

That was great play though. Good kick out of the backline from TMac, good cross from Vince and then we worked it down the open wing and scored. Exactly what we want to see.

dawes shldve gone back and flattened shaw after that goal!

So many players that have just done nothing

Haven't seen Pedro since Qrt time

mate .. what does it feel like to be caught on a rod

That was so obvious DHD that he was caught on a dangling hand line.....with no worm and no hook....

We're finally finding some room but still not enough urgency to damage the scoreboard quick enough.

We've let them win this.

Lol at Dunn deliberately falling in Goodes chest

Salem Cross Vince (2nd quarter) not bad tonight

So many players that have just done nothing

Haven't seen Pedro sine art time

Subbed off

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
