One of my favourite players. So happy he's found his role in our side and does it so well.

Also won me $20 from a Crows supporter last weekend when he kept Betts to one goal (bet him Garlett would kick more goals than Betts knowing Jetta would smash him).

Cheers for the beers, Nev.

Really worried for Nev's health, another head knock and concussion, hope he is OK.

I missed what happened, anyone see it?

Didn't see it but he will be a big loss. He is a reliable little player who goes about it the right way. Hope he is ok.

What happened? I didn't even see him come off?

Edit: Concussion to be monitored this week

I didn't know he went off, missed most of game. Get well Nev, one of my favourite players in red & blue currently.

this could open the door for Grimes as a small defender? I hoped we could let him ripen into a new framework at Casey for a bit, but the team may beckon.

Someone said he copped a knee from Howe? I don't think anyone had any idea at the time, but concussion is a mandatory week off isn't it?

Not necessarily, depends how severe and how he pulls up.

He was singing the song after the game, so I reckon he is a chance. Here's hoping, because already beating Freo is an impossible task, let alone without Jetta!

Player we can least afford to not play vs Freo as they have Walters and Ballantyne.

And for that reason, we can't afford to play him if he's not 100.00%, as good as he is. We'll need him at the top of his game against Swans & Hawks.

Looks like a Howe knee at the 3.09 mark 2nd quarter, overshadowed by the knee injury to Drummond

I'm not confident at all Jaded. He looked a bit hazy during the song. He's taken three decent head shots in 4 games this season. I'd be very surprised if he played next week

Half fit he's better than the next option.

But not at the value of harming the rest of the year.

Week off to get him right.

The back 6 loses the nice balance without him but there's options to cover. Good chance for Salem to do a defensive job on a gun small.

Gosh I was talking to another Melbourne supporter and I said he was one of the best small defenders in the league and he called me crazy. He seems like he is a great bloke off the field and I hope he is alright for next week.

Your mate doesn't know footy, or just thinks 'nothing Melbourne do/has could be the best'...

He has been hit around the head a great deal this year.

Let's take care of him. If that means Ballatyne or Walters go nuts - that's life when a bloke gets concussion. You don't eff around with this stuff. I had a concussion a few weeks ago and struggled to function normally for a week - forget trying to play footy, constructing sentences were hard...

yep get him right.

no point sending him out into a Big game when he may be 75% or less. it could harm him, & his confidence for the year or worse. He is coming along nicely, we owe him the respect to look out for him, to keep him in good shape for Our futures.

Paul Roos said in the Press Conference that he doubts Neville will play next week. A real pity.

I know it was only 45 minutes or so after the incident, but when they were getting ready to sing the song in the rooms he looked completely out of it.

Might have just had a splitting headache, but he looked very unwell.
