Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I'm already a massive fan and I think he deserves his own thread. With the teams announced tonight, what are the chances that he gets promoted and plays round 1? From all reports he didn't exactly light up Casey on the weekend, but I still have him in my best 22. 3 Quote
What 18,810 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I think he will play, he played and performed very well in all three NAB cup games (although left the Dogs game early) plus he played for Casey last week Big bodied, runs like a gazele, loves a goal. Quote
Gator 18,053 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I think he'll miss round 1 and have to wait a week or three. But I really like his prospects and hope he plays. Quote
DubDee 26,674 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 why has he not been upgraded already? two on the LTI list he has played NAB and at casey. whats the deal? Quote
McQueen 17,867 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) The second coming of Michael Barlow. He will be a beast once he adapts to the tempo. Don't let him squander at Casey. Edited April 2, 2015 by McQueen 3 Quote

I certainly hope he's the next Barlow and not the next James Magner... remember him? One moment he's going neck and neck with Nathan Jones for the Bluey and the next... Quote

The next minute he gets put in defense or something Not a star, but got caught in a period of "average player management", I reckon 2 Quote
Vagg 2,449 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 It's one thing to perform in the pre-season games. It's an entirely different ball game come the season proper. I really hope he is able to step up and be a really good player for us. Would be a great story. Quote
The Song Formerly Known As 6,479 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 should play, will play. Quote

The Devil Inside 2,147 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 As it is confirmed, defensive forward on Malceski? Quote
DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Half forward spots are tight and he didn't get much of a chance to impress in the midfield. No doubt with Howe and Vince underdone they'll be worrying about fitness as well. But I say throw him in. Every indication is he's got AFL traits and AFL talent and whilst he might not be ready to perform at his best he'll be ready for the challenge of AFL football. Genuinely excited to see if they throw him in. Reckon it's about 50/50 and even then he could be sub. Quote
General Malaise 209 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Who the hell are you?Where did you come from? Guess I'll have to fix that. 1 Quote
DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 As it is confirmed, defensive forward on Malceski? Don't know if he has the fitness for a hard defensive job. As much as I'd rather not have him in the team if we are going a defensive forward it might have to be Bail. With Malceski, Harbrow, Kolodjashnij and McKenzie all in the same side I don't know if it serves a purpose having a defensive forward. It's almost too much skill to lock down on just one of them. We might be better off going with the 4 most attacking forwards and trying to catch them all out with one on ones. Quote
Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 If it's from Patrick Keane, it's official. 2 Quote
Demon Jack 7,194 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Happy days. Congrats to VB (not the Adelaide one). Still working on a good nickname. Quote
