AFL National Draft 2014 Picks 2 & 3

a massive LOIL @ St Kilda if they let Petracca slip to us because of some pointless 'psych test'

Wish we'd done a psyche test on Neeld and Schwab.

Just sayin'

Roos on AFL live now.

Wish we'd done a psyche test on Neeld and Schwab.

Just agreein'

Roos keeps saying the next best 2. Has he actually said the words Petracca and Brayshaw?

Wish we'd done a psyche test on Neeld and Schwab.

I'm sure we did one on Scully.

I'm sure we did one on Scully.

Unlike most here I'm yet to see what Scully did wrong.

Welcome Hoges.....

That's not the point I'm making

The point is, psych testing or not, so many things can go wrong with high draft picks.

Cant recognise what Scully did wrong??? Congratulations BB, you just failed a Psych test.

Absolutely, no big surprise here

C'mon guys it's almost party time! :) Let's enjoy tonight. This is a new era. We have wiped the slate clean. We showed we can draft/trade the last 2 or so seasons, so no reason to feel like we are not in good hands.

im feeling so sad about Phil Hughes that I'm not even close to party time tonight. I will still be happy to see some young kids get there chance to play for the red and blue.

Actually story goes Neeld failed a psyche test at Adelaide and another club hence why he missed out on those jobs where we didn't even conduct one at all.

True. I thought the same. But I've had my tear and want to move on, a distraction maybe......

yeah I know mate it's just shocking news and I have been looking forward to this draft so much.

Wish we'd done a psyche test on Neeld and Schwab.

Doubt the psyche test of H_H would be glowing either.

Maybe Christian is one smart cookie.. Facing the prospect of setting up home at the swamp with cellar dwelling St Kilda he 'pulls' a hammy in the 3km....duds his psych eval with the Aints thus all but ensuring he'll get snagged by that promising up and coming mob , Melbourne playing alongside some good buddies.

Clever bloke !! ^_^:)

I like it BB. a kid with brains and footy smarts!

Yeeaaahh baaaby! Good things ahead!

I'm as happy as a Frenchman who has just invented a pair of self-removing trousers! Blackadder

Didn't realise they were good mates. They seem like a couple of characters too.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
