Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

Something huge is in the wing i believe ( just a feeling) but this is way more than just kids in the draft

Remember. roos is ONLY COACH FOR 2 years more.

This is the pivotal draft.

Next week.

That he is but he must also consider by getting in older players and getting us a few more wins over two seasons only to miss out on two kids who could end up being guns and seeing us and his chosen successor fall backwards would not look good either.

I don't see us giving up 2 & 3 unless we have some absolute guns coming in which I struggle to see with just those two picks even Pick 12 added to those picks isn't going to get us 2 guns IMO

Pick 2 3 and 12 and toumpus for Danger? And a say adelaides first round?

I have no mail or any info.. Just throwin it out there? I'd take it given the draft is no garrantee!

Take out Toumpas and Pick 3,and don't ask for Adelaides first rounder.

not sure we need to be giving away Toump and Watts and Trengove.. 1 of.. and I think sadly Jack T is the one we should dangle. I look at Jack T and just think he is not that damaging, sad as it is.

To quote every footballer's fav movie, its time "to get busy livin, or get busy dyin" we need to get busy living!

4 more days of this, then we start to speculate on the draft choices. Good clubs make big decisions to improve their list, this is one. Same as the Bulldogs they should trade out Griffen, the reward for him will be overs by trading with GWS and long term they will win out of this deal.

If we trade Jack we will win in the long run, no idea but it has it's merits. You would want pick 12 plus Richmonds second round pick for Trengove and our second round pick. That then gets you another first round pick plus a mid second round pick which will be enough to land Frost from GWS.

What we then do with picks 2,3 and 12 who knows.

If we finish up on Thursday with Harry O, Garlett, Frost, Stretch and picks 2, 3 and 12 and lose Frawley, Clark and Trengove, are we winners or losers?

Marginal winners. But this will not be the case - Prepare yourself for a big few days.

Will we be marginal, middling or big winners when the trading dust settles?

When trading draft picks, you can never be certain.

That being said, I can confidently state that at the end of the week, we will feel like winners. Have faith.

Trade radio summary on Trengove:

"If I were Richmond, I'd rather Sam Blease."

"I don't think he fits in the best 22 with Matt Thomas"

"A lot to give up for a guy who has played 2 games in the last 18 months" (He played 2 games this season, and 20 games last season)

Quality listening.

In fairness by the time round 1 rolls around it will be 2 games in 18months

Yes, but that is idiotic reasoning; Luke Hodge would not have played a game from October to March.

That's 5 months!

Get a game you hack!

big difference between 5 months off for pre season and 18 months, 2 games and a career threatening foot injury.

I agree with Browny, how do the tigers benefit bringing a bloke like Trenners into the side?

I'm hoping like hell we will keep him.

But this is the draft to get the motor running. It has to be.

We cannot have another year like the last 8.

Trenners is no good to anyone if he cannot play. I am still trying to work out why the previous coach and medical staff flogged him through 2013 when we all knew he wasn't right.

If we trade Trengove and land a big fish as part of the process. Is anyone going to remember his name if all of a sudden we start winning? We need to shake our list up for this to happen.

haven't been able to find any discussion (possibly because I'm a touch lazy, and the Boyd news railroaded my last attempt) but is 3 and 12 enough for pick 1?

I think winners but its so hard to judge.

Trengove & Clark haven't played many games in 18 months. Frawley hasn't been his best & then you never know what you're getting from the draft.

I happy to set us up for 10 years with picks 2 & 3. I think Petracca & Brayshaw are rated a lot higher than TS & JT.

Could go either way with a win or loss, but we have to get it right eventually.

They sure as hell are as of 2014, but as juniors? Really?? Cause Scully had huge wraps on him a year out from being drafted & Trenners was supposedly the best SA junior since Buckley. Edited by thevil1

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
