I suppose a thread for this is due. Who'll take home Charlie? My pick is Selwood, and he may finally be caught for ducking when the medal is placed around his neck.

Watch Pendlebury and Cotchin poll fairly well - Proven vote history, and their best patches of form correspond with their respective teams winning matches.

Franklin, Kennedy and Parker to all be up there too, despite playing on the same team.

If one of those five has some sort of success tonight, my bank account will benefit greatly.

Selwood really didn't have his best season in my opinion, I think Gray would be the most deserving winner.

That all being said, Ablett could very well hold on, as ridiculous as the notion of missing seven games and winning is

Jonesy to finish Top 10

Which one? I believe d tyson will finish ahead of him anyway.

My pick Ablett will be headed in the last 2 rounds by Mr R Gray

I expect slim pickings for us but am curious to find out how many votes Stefen Martin gets.

Don't stir that pot.

Seems like every second player getting votes in the first four rounds is suspended.

Is Chip there? Just got 3 votes.

Probably sitting at the Geelong table.

Will the MFC beat our own record from last year? That is the lowest club agregate of Brownlow votes since I think 1915 when the current 3,2,1 voting system was introduced! Was that stat from last year given to the AFL Commission of Drones today?

I think you may have gone back just a tad too far Earl!

Yes BBO I just checked and it was 1931 and we had the lowest aggregate count last year recorded since then. Sorry for the exaggeration I will try better next time.

Be cautious, such public mishaps may impact on your chances for "higher honours".

Neither Tyson nor Jones score a vote in our win against Adelaide. Dangerfield gets the 3 votes. Uh, what?!

Dangerfield was amazing in that game, in a league of his own. Deserves the 3 votes. Surprised Tyson hasn't notched up a vote yet though.

Has now.

Honestly can't believe he didn't get a vote in the Adelaide game.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
