I can't believe he has the gall to keep up the ruse after this shocking news.

Nice try, but I'd prefer that if he does actually know something to just keep it to himself.

We could probably do without the riddles too.

Well. probably get a lot more work done today. Cant see much happening for us other than the announcement of the Prince Apparent.

I agree. If he actually knows something and can't say anything then why post anything at all. To follow it up with half a dozen mind-numbing riddles is bewildering and then to not drop the act in the wake of the Trengove situation is just pathetic.

Trengrove for pick 12 is us getting majorly ripped off, if we dont use it as apart of a deal for an elite player.

just get up ?

There is no satisfying some people. This site gets alot of traffic at this time of year to hear news, rumours and innuendo of what is happening. They get the news, don't like it and turn feral as a result.

GNF will reveal what he knows as he said. Until then relax. If GNF disappears next year, you will complain that no news is coming thru. Many of us are thankful for the rumours. If you don't like it. Then shut up. Your ruining or running ppl like GNF off this site.

I think you need to read the last few pages mate. :)

Hows the weather in WA this morning?

Can't believe your post. An event happened, scuttling a trade for JT and pick 12, which could have been central to deals for players and you slag off at GNF. If I was him and got this crap, I wouldn't bother.

No, my opinion is based on a whole range of posts from GNF in the past.

If I was him, I wouldn't post either. Join the dots Redleg.

It does this forum or the people in it any good to post riddles.

Obviously only if it's part of some grand plan to get a player like Dangerfield.

No one wants to trade Watts just to upgrade pick 23 to 12.

Well... Almost no one...

Who is the coach being talked about now? Red...

Really? How's his strike rate going? Called Paul Roos earlier than most...and...

Sorry but if none of what he has alluded to happens, his "reliable source" tag goes up in smoke. GNF could be anyone, including some kid having a lend and a laugh.

But at least we got some riddles.

A dude making up bs and taking the [censored] with a bunch of vague riddles is not good for anyone.

The most obvious answer is the right one: We knew exactly what was going on with Trengoves foot, we tried to get something for him while he still had value, he failed his medical, we get nothing. There was never a big trade, there was never a team willing to give up an a grader for a couple of picks, let alone two teams. I mean seriously, the guy claimed we would be getting two A-graders who would be the best players in our squad and we would hold onto pick 2. How on earth could that have possibly happened?

Given this has now turned in to a GNF discussion thread, I thought I might weigh in.

If you don't want to believe what is said on here, then don't. I don't, but it still makes me think about possible scenarios. Where is the harm in the posts being made? Seriously, I don't know why people are so up in arms about it.

Good on ya GNF, think these riddles have been fun. Got a bit much for me for a bit there, so I switched off for a bit.

Keep it up!

48 hours to go and still no trades getting done

are all clubs taking the [censored] out of us?

This is a disaster for all concerned. Clearly it disrupts the grand plan. I am unaware of what MFCs plans, whether that is to cover with another player or change tact. Truely aweful news. All the best to JT, his injury us now very much career threatening.

I will still unriddle at weeks end.

Of course you would come out straight after its been announced.

Riddles my ass.

I apologise that i am working/teaching kids, rather then sitting on here 24/7 keeping up with the trade arguments.

That's what you get for edumacating our children.

I too share lots of info when I have it. There's plenty that I wouldn't dream of posting on here due to the sensitivity, but where its harmless - why not?

Whilst I'm not enamoured with GnF's grandstanding delivery and self important air, he has had some good info in the past. Delivered, of course, with a get out of jail card. I'd rather live or die by one sentence.

Whatever, if you think this site is better without inside info then I, and I'm sure many others, are happy to leave the dork inner circle to their dreadful puns and really poor dad jokes.

One more thing - the trading period is, to use a modern term, fluid. Just because things don't pan out doesn't mean they weren't discussed in great detail. If you're some [censored] with 3 mates who's gets the horn for pointing out mail that doesn't come to fruition, leave it out. No one cares.

do you teach them to read and comprehend by chance ? just interested

Wasn't there speculation that a another high draft pick was about to leave. Maybe the club did some contingency planning and we can still get Danger/Mitchell/Kennedy/Shiel or whatever. I hope they did. Anyways this news ruined my day :S

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
