Did anyone else think that our match with North was a much more enjoyable brand of football than previous weeks?

I'd much rather see us kick 14 goals and lose by 30 points instead of kick 4 and keep the opposition to a lower score as well.

I would prefer us to do both, that's what Roos is trying to implement but unfortunately we are not match fit to run both ways for a full game.

No I didn't like it, looked like schoolboy bruise free footy & the North schoolboys had a field day.

Junior players coming into the AFL can pretty much all play footy. They are also better than their fellow juniors, so they do it easily in U18, etc. First thing they need to learn upon joining an AFL club is that strength is a huge part of senior league footy. Coupled to strength is defence. So, on entering the AFL the players should be taught defensive skills, tackling, defensive running, how to give and take hits and generally how to bulk up.

Once a group of players become seasoned adult footballers, they are then taught attacking strategies and tactics.

Currently the Dees are in my first paragraph, and probably several line breaks away from my second paragraph.

...You'd...rather us lose by more and be within less of a chance of winning but kick a higher score, rather than have a low score and being closer to the opponent?
