So I have a differing opinion and that's what we get? Have you forgotten this is a discussion forum? If you don't want people disagreeing with you then don't post. Simple.

Right back at ya.

Watts' kicking is sublime, but FFS his tackles reminds me of one of those wind sock figures at a Godfrey vacuum store.

Can't unsee!

Wow. ZERO applause after the qtr time siren. Crowd obviously underwhelmed by both sides. Didn't think it was too bad myself but very obviously not top eight football.

Like Salems attack on the ball

I liked his second effort when the ball was in our forward line as well, beat two opponents to keep it in there and force the ball up. Looking forward to seeing him play consistently good footy with another pre-season under his belt.

TAKE THE [censored] FIRST OPTION!

theyre not confident to take their first option ( gut instinct comproimised )

I would imagine that kicking a goal on the MCG while playing AFL would be an electric feeling

So can somebody please explain why we have a team of players that are too scared to kick a [censored] goal

Put the handbags down ladies.

Again finishing in our fwd 3rd lets us down. The backs and mids getting plenty of it but once we get into that fwd 3rd skills and indecision lead to high long balls into packs of GWS. We are staying with them and applying plenty if pressure the other way to cause turn overs our way, just need to finish to put the scoreboard pressure on.

The amount of time we take move the ball on from the back half is deplorable.

You can even see guys leading, a few yards clear of their opponents and players like Grimes just don't have the trust or confidence to hit up that target.

So we go sideways, for absolutely no reason except for it being the safest kick.

Backline again. Major issues with moving the ball.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
