Jesus, Terlich is still a turn over machine.

That's weird. Not saying he doesn't turnover but he doesn't even register on the clanger stats. The Jones boy leads that stat until this round.

Dom Tyson is keeping us in the game.

Hopefull Tyson does for us what players do to us once they leave...

Quarter Time - GWS 1.2.8, MFC 0.2.2.

2 behinds, 2 scoring shots, and apparently we had the wind. Hopefully it's not that big of a breeze.

Statistics (GWS-MFC):

Disposals - 86-92
Clearances - 10-8
Inside 50s - 10-9
Contested possessions - 25-33
Tackles - 22-17

Matt Jones is also a turn over machine. As is Grimes. It's no wonder we get scored against heavily. They all play off the back flank. If you turn it over there, it's coming back quickly.

I don't care if the they keep making mistakes as long as the keep the workrate up

Need a lot more booze for this game - but surely the results will come if they keep up the effort?

Every time Terlich, Evans or Pedersen seem to get the ball, we turn it over.

Every team turns it over Titan. I would rather see us take more risks and run/carry overlap play the game than the possession obsession of the last 2 weeks. It's what happens after we turn it over that is the problem. Top teams don't worry about it so much or drop their heads (stop chasing/harrassing/picking up loose men etc) like some of our blokes do. If we do this better we will create more turnovers ourselves and get the ball back again.

Our other major problem, which is very obvious for everyone, what we do with it when we cause a turnover. Most teams tend to score against us too easily from turnovers. We struggle to score from any turnovers atm. I suspect having no targets or goal kicking power is the main reason along with our usual poor delivery methods i 50

No goals with the wind...time for a beer!

On the radio they said it was very swirly, and probably slightly favouring GWS in the first quarter.

Frustrating, we were actually better around the ground but can't buy a goal. Best chance was when Evans chose to centre it rather than go himself.

Most annoying part was when we had the ball in the 50, won the clearance and handballed backwards and backwards and backwards until we were at the centre square. Someone take it on to kick the goal!

That attempted "tackle" by Watts on Cameron was nothing short of soft and pathetic.

He just has no urgency, none.

if Watts isn't going to show kohunas and desperation today after that pathetic dropped chest mark last week then he just isn't going to make it.

Makes me sad. I saw him dominate in schoolboy team. He has the talent but lacks mental application.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
