Intraclub Practice Match - Thursday 20th February, 2014

Those complaining about our injured talls should be happy with this quote from the website.

Well see a number of players returning and playing their first game for the year, including a number of talls: Max Gawn, Mark Jamar, Chris Dawes, Jack Fitzpatrick and Jesse Hogan.

Wed anticipate that the majority of players in this game would be preparing for our second NAB Challenge game in Alice Springs and the following practice match against Hawthorn at Casey.

Sounds like we'll have close to a full list to pick from by the second practice match, fingers crossed nobody gets injured during the NAB challenge. Can't remember the last time we went into a season, or a game for that matter, with anywhere near a full list to pick from.

Go Dees!

Interesting no mention of Clark!

There was a mention of Clark in the next sentence that wasn't quoted above, just stating that he's injured.

Not news I guess.

Arent we playing against Richmond in 48 hours?

Excuse me while I focus on that

Cannot walk and chew gum at the same time h_h

where can you park when watching training? tomorrow might be my first time going and I can't think of anywhere.

Park in Alexandra Ave. near Morell Bridge only 80 cents a hour and walk across the footbridge take you 5 minutes if you walk slowly.

You can park your bicycle right near the fence ...

Heard from a reliable source that Panozza, Gent, Best and another Casey Scorpions player will be helping fill out the numbers - good to see Best is still on the Radar.

They said today that he has pinged the hammy again and is on rehab for another three weeks. Not a chance of playing round 1 I'd say.

Following on from last night's win, things are starting to get serious at headquarters. The club website reports no open training sessions this week with the exception of the Intraclub practice game on Thursday 20th February. The season cometh!

Marvellous what a difference a win makes!

Obviously want to sort out a few things away from prying eyes.

Does anyone know what time this intra club match will start?

Thanks in advance

Dees website says 9:30am Thursday at Gosch's paddock. My new job means I can't get there. Bugger.

Correction: Marvellous what a difference a win maketh!

Can I just clarify . Does anyone know the time and place of the practice match on Thursday? There appears tobe some confusion. I would be grateful for clarification.

MFC website says Goschs paddock 9.30 AM.

Have you been there?

Thanks OD. yes I have, a number of times. I'm surprised they are not holding a "private" match at Casey. But thanks for letting me know

thunderstorms predicted, my hair might get wet

Whats going on with Jack Watts, missed all the training practice matches, was pulled out of the NAB match and now his name isn't listed as one of the talls returning.

Is anyone able to shed some light onto this?

Consider yourself lucky to be faced with the problem Lw!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
