Yep, I'd love to join! Team Ruffnuts will being going around again.

I'll give it a go. Team name is Pubercuts.

I've volunteered to run Demonland's Supercoach comps for 2014. I've managed to source the results (that were available) from last year and sorted them into 2 leagues for this year.

If you'd like to play in 2014, this what you need to do:

If your name is on one of the lists below:

1 - Visit the Demonland Supercoach 2014 Registration page and put your details in there.

2 - Go to Supercoach and re-register there (your 2013 username and data will have been removed thanks to News Ltd's new system)

3 - Join the Demonand Group = http://supercoach.he...roup?cic=527333

4 - Wait for me to confirm numbers and I will issue you with your league code.

If your name is NOT on the list below:

1 - Visit the Demonland Supercoach 2014 Registration page and put your details in there. Leave blank the fields that deal with last year's data.

2 - Go to Supercoach and register.

3 - Join the Demonand Group = http://supercoach.he...roup?cic=527333

4 - Wait for me to confirm numbers and I will issue you with your league code.

The link above will allow me to more easily track players throughout the year and into following years. People's usernames and coach names change a lot, this will allow me to know who everyone is. No private data is requested, only Demonland alias, Supercoach name and scores etc. Ideally this sheet will allow me to organise following years' leagues into averages, not just the previous single season's performance. Unfortunately it means you need to fill out one more form than normal, but with the changes that keep happening to the fantasy football world, I feel more comfortable with my own spreadsheet of coaches.

A new league will be created if there is sufficient interest.

If there are insufficient registrations for the Norm Smith league (which currently consists ONLY of last year's players), I will upgrade from the Stynes list. For example, "howies_hero's24" is the first in line for an upgrade if anyone from last year's Norm Smith does not register.

Thanks Choke for organising the SC leagues this year. Stupid question but I can't seem to work out how to join the Demonland group. I am going to the groups section and and it wants me to start a group. I want to join a league, not start one. And where is the log out button??? I must be blind. Any advise would be appreciated.

I'm the same as Hallowed Turf.

My team name is "the mighty rams" if that helps?

Hi THT & Gorg,

Just clarifying... Leagues and groups are different - if I am reading your posts correctly. Choke has posted a link to the Demonland Group, above, which any amount of people can join and it just ranks players from here no matter what leagues they are in. You can only join the group by following the link above and clicking to accept the invitation. And I found that you can only have a max of three groups (it may be written somewhere but I found out by trying to add too many groups. Choke hasn't posted the leagues as they haven't been finalised as yet.

As for logging out - that had me stumped for quite a while. You need to scroll to the top of the page and then find your name just above the "H" in Herald Sun - It only displays your first name. Click or hover over that and you will then have the chance to Logout!

Cheers, S.

Thanks stephen247. Yes I didn't really clarify things very well. I just wanted to join the demonland group. Not the league yet. As per Choke's post the league will be finalised later. I still can't join a group. When I click the link I log in to the SC site then go to leagues then groups but I can't find anywhere where I can join the group. Very frustrating!

Put me down too if allowed, been playing SC for a few years now this will be the first time in a Demonland comp.

Team name: Barassi's Bike

i'm back, Dawes Open

Hi THT,

What I find easiest is to have this page open, log into SC in another tab, come back here and click on Choke's link to the group above (or click here... http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/group?cic=527333) and that should open another tab where it asks you to click thru to accept the invitation. ASAIK you can't join a group from within the Group page. And just to reiterate what I found - have you joined three other groups? And I know it did take a couple of times for the group to show - so much for the "improvements" to SC. Although they have returned the Scroll bar when selecting or trading players.!!!! Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!

Hope that helps.

Thanks stephen247. Worked a treat mate. Your a legend. All the best this year with your SC.

Thanks THT - I just know how frustrating it was to get it all sorted. I think they are trying to hard to please everyone (by making the site suitable to mobile devices) that it caused more problems than it worth. My 2 cents..

And good luck to you as well. I spend way too much time on on SC (even developed my own spreadsheet so I could get started on my team before it all opened - also helps with working out byes...) but that doesn't necessarily translate to playing well...

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
