Was delisted just recently and I reckon may be worth a lifeline at Pick 2 in the rookie draft.

23 years old, 192cm, 88kg KPF who's kicked 35 goals in 25 matches but has never had a full run with Brisbane. Given Clark and Dawes injury concerns and our obvious game plan around 3 key forwards I think it's important that we have plenty of depth in the area and a mature age rookie selection could be just the go I reckon.

Some other options for mine are Mitch Thorp from the TSL, although he may go in the national draft and Khan Haretuku (VFL) and Andrew Ainger (SANFL). So curious to hear what people think of the prospect of throwing the Tasmanian a rookie lifeline? I remember I was actually keen on drafting him back in Watt's draft year with a late pick.

I'd rather use the rookie draft on a prospective ruckman as well as a midfielder or two. KPF aren't what we need right now, especially considering that next years draft is supposed to be choc full of them.

Saw him playing early on and he had strong hands.

I thought he would become a decent player. Perhaps too limited.

Only if he can play as a KPD where we are now very light on for depth.

That's where Cameron Giles comes in at Pick 40.

Cornelius isn't up to it. Hasn't improved his chasing, ability to get cheap kicks or most other aspects of his game. A nab cup specialist.

He's an undersized mark and lead full forward and their is no role for that player any more. Needs to develop in to a Gunston type player but hasn't shown the inclination.

With all the key forwards and guys like Howe and Watts we dont need Cornelius.

Why would we draft a skinny underperforming KPF?

Especially one delisted when Brisbane are desperately trying to hold onto any player worth his salt?

And finally, he's a delisted FA so no need to take him in the PSD.

If you read the openning post properly you'll see I've siad rookie draft, not pre-season draft.

I was keen for the Demons to look at Cornelius before Clark, Dawes and Hogan. Watched him closely this year and last and noticed that he's got a bit of the Ryan Gambles about him: he's a liability when the opposition are trying to clear the ball out of their defensive area. Doesn't chase and isn't agile.

Lovely mark and decent kick, but I can see why Brisbane have delisted him.

Every player thread needs a highlights package:

Could be an alright medium-tall forward depth player but as nice as highlight packages are - don't get sucked in.

The first thing that I was looking for was agility - after deciding to sign Flat Footed Pedersen for 3 years.

He seems very agile and at 192cm I wouldn't call him a tall forward he plays well at ground level - and is more a medium/tall (Brad Green).

Just make sure you don't offer him three years.

I didn't, I just skimmed it because of the innate stupidity of the proposal.

No need to get nasty just because you can't read a sentence properly.

Correction: didn't deem it worth my time reading your post "properly", as it's such a poor suggestion.

Maybe we should recruit Fev as a rookie too?

Not what we need.

Give him a 1 year contract, see how he goes

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
