The lack of faith in Cam 'Sausages' Pedersen disturbs me. Where is the love for this dashing rebounding defender?

But seriously Bruce would be worth a thought in the PSD. Best to probably play it cool and not let our interest bubble until the end of trade week if the deal doesn't happen with the saints.

That said the dogs must have some interest as well. I rate Talia, but Austin for back up and Roughead I'm not convinced on. I think they've got a mobile ruck/forward at full back when he should in the ruck/forward position!

We could just go another untried kid and pick up Dayle Garlett if he goes another national draft without being picked up. Emma Quayle doesn't seem to think there's any certainty on him being drafted despite the slim pickings this year.

I'd be very surprised if Garlett doesn't get picked up this year.. I'll actually be upset if he is still available in the PSD and we don't take him. Kid can play..

Query. Can teams trade PSD picks like they do national draft picks? I don't recall it ever happening before.

And I'm a bit disappointed that no-one has suggested Liam Jurrah for the PSD. I thought it was compulsory that his name be suggested in any thread that discusses the PSD or rookie drafts.

NDHsP... if he fits this profile, then no.

if he is team oriented then go for it?

What has Liam Jurrah shown since he was delisted to prove that he is worth a PSD pick or rookie draft. And dont say because he brought in the gates back in the past..

I reckon your sarcasmometer is a bit off mate.

liam is a delisted free agent isnt he? dont need to use psd... just saying

I don't think so, I think the delisting has to be this year. He'd have to be drafted. Like Mitch Thorp.

We may actaully not use it at all if they don't delist anymore senior players. We only have 3 senior spots and 1 rookie spot avaialble at the moment, so it may not even become an issue.

I'd be happy if the Polec trade fell through and picked him up in the PSD

tell him we are interested gauge his reaction of we did draft him in psd, start discussions with Brisbane (ie what would need to satisfy you) to take their eyes off other negotiations, bail at the last minute then pick him up you reckon?

Or simply start talking about usurping pa in their 14 for 2 picks by shopping around 9 for 2 picks. Disrupt their ability to get the picks to get him...

Article on AFL website citing Bruce to St Kilda is slow and there is a chance Bruce will go to the PSD.

Would be happy if we got this bloke.

"Saints or bust for disgruntled Giant Josh Bruce"

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-10-24/saints-or-bust-for-bruce

Yer but I doubt GWS would just let him go for nothing when Saints are offering a pick.

I think they are just playing chicken - GWS are probably saying something like: "if you don't give us something better Melbourne will probably pick him up with PSD pick 2"

Lets just hope they run out of time  Even if that means Todd Viney has to do cartwheels in the AFL hub tomorrow to distract GWS and Saints.

Nah but seriously is there anyone better in the PSD or would we go for him with pick 2? Guess we have to wait until the main draft is done.

Josh Bruce said he is willing to go in the PSD for St. Kilda if it comes down to it, why not steal him from under their nose?

Good backman insurance.

It shouldn't take to much effort to explain to him that it would be kind of stupid to jump of a 5 star cruiser onto a sinking refugee boat.

We are no 5 star cruiser but at least we are floating.

Maybe a bad metaphor but you get the idea.

I could see Bruce going to the PSD.

St Kilda won't offer better, and GWS don't want that pick because they won't use it.

GWS are likely to then take the opportunity to take a stand to set an example to the others.

Can't set the precedent they'll fold and take whatever they can get every time a player wants out.

If that happens, it depends on what his terms are, but I'd take him and risk him being initially [censored] off.

When we played GWS the 2nd time this year, he was clearly the most impressive GWS player that day, to my eyes.

He kept popping up taking contested intercept marks in our forward line.

I had no idea who he was up to that point.

I also thought he was shorter, but 197cm is a very good size for a defender.

If we take him, I really wouldn't be surprised to see him unseat a bloke like McDonald if he can't get his disposal sorted out.

At worst he'd be quality depth.

Rumours that bulldogs may try and pick up gws midfielder in the psd.

Now as we have a pick before the doggies, should we look at him?

Is he any good? I know we need mids and more mids but I have no idea if this kid can play!?
